  1. I've talked to some people who own ke70 and kp60's who had the same issue. It has something to do with pulley thingy for LHD. If the cable is not sliding properly, it will try to pull the whole c clip section this grinding it. I was told to lube that part from time to time. :)
  2. Ok so i had time to further look into this and indeed it was the cable! First time i saw something like this. Replaced it and it works like a charm now!
  3. Is it safe to remove the white windshield rubber insert on a ke30? Thanks!
  4. hey thanks! i don't have one but i would grab a unit tomorrow coz i'd need it when i intall some gauges. UPDATE: looks like it resolved itself... i think there's a ground somewhere so hunting i will go :clover: :clover:
  5. Hey guys! Suddenly i noticed that my ammeter is reading +30 when running and about +10 on idle. I always see the meter at 0 so i got worried. What are the possible scenarios that caused this and should i be alarmed? I ran the car for about 20mins and its still the same. Cheers!
  6. I looked into that spacer thing but the cable can't be pulled back enough to fit it. Btw i did not take apart the dash just for the cable. I found this car junked and there's tons for mess under there so i had to clean it. Haha.
  7. I am in the philippines so getting to melbourne for a clutch cable would be a pain. Haha I removed the dash and noticed i am also losing a little bit of play on a lever. We drive on the right side and clutch comes in on the right of the firewall. The cable travel longer than what you have there. Ill take a photo tomorrow. You are right. I need to have the cable specially made but we have tons of places that made those here
  8. can't seem to find a clutch cable of the right length. I am contemplating of doing or upgrading to hyraulic. Thanks Banjo!
  9. this looks like a great idea! time to get the dremmel back in action. i'll do this. thank you!
  10. that basically describes what is happening, haven't replaced the cables yet since weather is not cooperating. thanks man!
  11. Ive been playing around and removed the glove box to see whats going on there. I've noticed that its pulling right as far as i can observe until the firewall. Then i observed the cable play on the end right towards the clutch. Looks like it will "pull" 2/4 then would stop eventhough we are continously pressing on the clutch then would start engaging at about 3/4. Sorry but can't think of better explanation than that. Looks like the cable is indeed the problem. I'll try to have it replaced tomorrow.
  12. Thank you for the response! I am thinking of replacing the cable... I just replaced the clutch disk and nothing else. When i step on the clutch it does disengage and let the engine idle but i need to put more effort to get it into gear. I hope that makes sense.
  13. Hi! I'm new here but let me start with a problem. haha. Ke30 3k engine I replaced the clutch because it was slipping. After a few weeks i noticed i had to adjust the tensioner because it engages at the floor. Literally. Now i have the tensioner at its last ring and i am having a hard time shifting and ive been grinding the gears when i shift unless i kick in the clutch. Any ideas?
