not turning over. nothing at all happens when i turn the key besides the warning light for brake coming on. car is manual.

Ok i drove up the road to drop some movies i rented off. turned the car off, left the lights on windows open but car off, dropped off movies, 10 secs later, get in car and it wont start! I turn the key and all that happens is i hear a little click from a warning light come on. its the brake light above the park brake light to the right of the speedo. both the charge and oil lights are on when car is in AC mode. Battery is fine, lights are bright and stereo pumps loud. tried to jumpstart it but to no avail. checked the oil( had checked it 2 days before and was just on the empty E, so i bought some oil that day. checked the oil when it didnt start and it was barely at the bottom of the dipstick. I recently washed my car at a brushless carwash and i think i blasted a stream of water under the hood thru the grill. all the leads and distributer seem fine. one thing i think it might be, but I'm not to sure what the part is, its the little white bar that comes off the ignition coil, one time a while bak one of terminals became loose and my car would turn off in the middle of the road or not start unless it was firm. it seems pretty rusted now. I havnt had time to look at it properly yet, and i broke down at night last night. I have the morning off tomorrow so hopefully you guys can tell me what to check for and i can get into it. Also it might be the starter motor? or the engine blew? I read in my workshop manual. But the car started so smoothly when i started it to take it up the road and it turned off like normal with no loud bangs or anything. I did stall it on purpose a couple of times a few nights to annoy a mate in a carpark, could that have had something to do with it? Ive got no idea, has anyone else had problems like this before? distibuter cap, rotor, leads and plugs are all under a year old as well.

ill take a video for you guys. Yeh it falls back down and makes a snap sound, it falls really fast tho like the hammer of a gun. I'm getting me gearbox soon off jip so thats gonna be fun for me.

Hey everyone, i have a ke55 rolla and the handbrake holds fine on a hill, but the problem is it just makes a snap noise and loosens itself!sumtimes does it quikly and sumtimes does it half a day later. it makes hill starts very difficult as i already have to hold my first gear in cos my g-box is stuffed! lol. its been happening for a long time but i figured id find out how to fix it so i can have a go at it when I'm puttingmy new box in soon. any help would be greatly appreciated as always! cheers guys.

I'm lovin the new colours holden and ford are painting now. theyve got the shades just right.i saw this dark metallic blue that looked grey from sum angles on a holden executive model.

i put my new oil in today, i think it actually goes a bit quicker in low gears, but the problem of gears slipping didnt get fixed, it doesnt slip every time now, but my mechanic says probly a tooth broken or sumthing. ill live with it, hill starts are hard cos i gta hold it in first...and my hand brakes falls down as well lol.

Hey everyone, how much would it cost for a gregorys manual for a ke55? i keep finding them on websites for around 60-80 dollars, theres none on ebay atm, but ive searched and foudn that alot of you on here have them. I'm pretty sure wherever i go they will have to be ordered in, I'm just wanting a heads up so i don't get my pants pulled down over the price. I'm hoping its around 40, same as the manuals they have in stock at supercheap.

How often do you guys change your gear oil and diff oil, if you change it at all?? My first has just started being troublesome and it bounces bak into neutral, sometimes its harsh sumtimes its soft and i don't notice till i hear my revs and i go nowhere lol. I asked a mate if i should start sussing out another gearbox, but he said first try a oil change. If i was to change the oil how do i do it and how much would i need? its a ke55 also if that helps.

hey my lights suck, they r so dim and even worse when my batt is a bit flat untill i drive for a while. ive heard the globes arent removable so i need to buy a whole new set. where can i get something liek that? and how much would it cost? thanks.

my mechanic is my uncle at goodyear, he will tell ME don't worry about it and to save the money and not waste it on this car.

do they sit behind the brakes? i got no problems pulling htings off to take a look and learn a thing or two

Hey everyone, my car soudns alright drivign around town and stuff, but at 100 on the highway i get a real loud noise, ive been told its wheel bearings, searchedo n ehre and heard wheel bearings or diff. it doesnt seem to fit a bad diff diagnosis. it does sound more like noise from the wheels rolling along, is it due to bad insulation of the cars not blocking out enough noise, or just sum stuffed wheel bearings. autobarn said 40bux a set for front and rear, would that be all id have to buy? or will i need seals and grease and stuff? I'm not to sure what a wheel bearing looks like.

well basically, i cut my ke55 air intake pipe down to a shorter length cos it gets real narrow so i cut it where it was wider, turned it around to face a hole coming thru the grill to get more and colder air..the bad thing is, i will probly have to get the police to id my vehicle so i can register it (long story/problem) will they pull me up on this? or my power cables from the batter for my strereo that arent screwed in? or cos my mate took off sum of the pollution control measures..he didnt pull em out, just disconected them.

Hey everyone, I'm the newest member on this forum....looks to be a rad place! i been driving around i na ke55 corolla for about 4 months since i sold my old EB II V8 fairmont ghia. I was pretty cut i had to let that car go and i picked up my corolla for 500 and really resented driving it. But tonight after i got back from work i decided it would look really wicked if put some effort into it and did it up. What id really like to do first is tint my windows and get a set of mags, then later on i want to get the rust cut out ( not really that much) and repainted...and finally not sure when i would get this part done but i want to stick either a CA18DET into it or a lovely V8....If you guys have any ideas or advice for me i would love to hear it and i look forward to checking out all your rides and getting inspiration for mine. cyas around
