  4. Ok, so up for sale is a 1993 nissan pulsar. Originally had a 1.6L ga16de engine in it. The head gasket went so i decided to be adventurous and drop a sr20de into it. I found a guy upgrading his sr20de to a turbo motor so took everything i needed, engine, box, cross member, mounts, ecu, exhaust, driveshafts, ecu...also have a pair of gtir brakes for it. I spent all week swapping parts in and out of my car, got to the final stage of trying to line the gearbox up and its beyond me. I have bitten off more than i could chew and now have surrendered and want to just be done with it. come take it all away for cheap. ill put the price at $1000. You can come rip the parts out that you want and leave the rest, or you can tow it, or you can line the gearbox up put the driveshafts in and then drive it away (its still registered) If you have any questions give me a call or text on 0435 220 141 car is located in kuraby (Logan city, 15 mins south of Brisbane) thanks, Calam. pictures to come in a second.

  8. fuel guage is fixed, working on power steering now but I'm pretty busy. if you want to make me an offer and save me the hastle i will be very negotiable.

I have a EBII Fairmont Ghia up for sale. asking price is $2000 ono it has all the usual fairmont options plus, FULL leather interior, sunroof, sound package. Has around 210 000kms on it. and drives great. i bought the car 6 months ago from a guy way up north and drove it back no troubles. since then i replaced the coil packs and water pump. the body isnt in the greatest shape, has some paint fade, hail marks, bit of rust in one wheel arch, and slight ding in the other, sunroof has issues sliding the whole way out (have to help it along) and back in as well. drivers seat is ripped on the part u rub when u get in and out, and the steering wheel has started to peel at the very top of the wheel. power steering has started leaking recently. Apart from the things ive mentioned, the car works perfectly. engine and gearbox are tight, no leaks. cruise control and climate control are perfect, all the electrics work like they are meant too. Has those clear vision headlight bulbs. Has the nice factory mags, little rash, all centre caps are there and in perfect condition (pretty rare from what ive been told). Has a K&N filter put in a few months back (cost $120) The car currently has an aftermarket alpine cd/mp3 player with an ipod play and charge cable (will only charge iphones and ipod touch 2nd gen onwards). 6 inch kevlar splits amped off factory amp. and the factoy sub and rears (rears are disconnected and need to be replaced) comes with an unfitted used spoiler. I have been very honest in describing this car. The best part about this car is you can get into a very nice car to be inside and drive for $2000 just because the outside isnt perfect!! interior pics will come soon. ran out of rego on 5th april. My economy for this car has been 14.3L/100km. This is because I do a lot of local driving around metro areas. Does around 9L/100Km on the highway.   13. oh k then. just wanted to make sure i was taking the cheapest/best option. I'm not too sure how to check a gearbox over really well. would i be better off buying from a wreckers with a month warranty or whatever they give (if at all???) just someone wrecking their car on here
  14. ive been reading other posts on the net, seems its pretty common and ends up being gear synchros or the gear selector. does both of these mean its better to buy another box? and if i get a new box, it'll probly suffer the same fate after a short while?? just wondering what the best option is here. fwd gearboxs seem a lot harder to change than rwd. how much would a mechanic charge if i bring them the box in to swap it over?

Hey all, my car (89 csx seca, 4afc engine, c50 box) has no first or second gear, 3rd and 4th work fine and reverse is fine. because 3rd and 4th work fine, this eliminates to clutch as a suspect right? what things should i check to determine and fix the problem? ive got a max ellery manual, but they arent the greatest espescially when knowledge is already limited. thanks in advance.   17. 2 screws and 1 clip, came out easy as and same as my spare car. seemed to do the trick. Thanks guys!!

  19. I have an ae94 corolla with the 4afe engine. The battery has never died or been hard to start up. While driving (used to do this occasionally, but now much more frequently), the charge light comes on and all lights go dim inside and outside the car. It will stay on for a while then dissapear and lights will go bright again, tonight it was happening on and off in 1 second intervals. what is going on guys? my guess is somehting is loose. Ive never worked with alternators, I'm fairly novice with cars. The only way i have learnt about mechanics is when something breaks, i ask around, look in workshop manual, learn how it works and use all ur advice to fix it. Any help on things to check or look for would be greatly appreciated. thanks all. Calam.
  20. how many years since then has it been? your either very talented or very responsible. i know if i got an r1 i would kill myself!
