ok but does a new one with it's butterflies open and close tightly is better for tuning and economy? just a question?
-
the new weber is DMTL 32/34! thanks again!
-
Hello! maybe a similar topic has already being written but i want your opinion about the best fuel economy! i have a 4k-u engine with a weber 32/32 dgv! i want to ask you what kind of carb to use for economy! the stock one 28/32 or another brand new weber 32/34 that i have? i am thinking of the weber because it's new!!! what do you think? thanks alot!!!
-
of course if you have a 4k-u twin squish head you could put it on your 5k without any mods...the cr will be ok...
-
my engine had a sticker on the valve cover which tells you to use only long spark plugs and not the typical ones just like those in the picture...the other one had fallen off...
-
there are two types of 4k dished pistons.. the first one is just like those in my engine.. my engine is a 4k-II twin squish with electronic ignition. the second type is with valve holes just like 5k ones...
-
no,4k and 5k have the same ports. 4k-u(dished piston) and 5k(dished piston) have the same head, 27mm intake ports.. and same valves also...
-
you are right Trev... :-) but i have another question.. does piston size affects reving? 4k and 5k have the same stroke but different bore...
-
i agree with you...5k has more torque because of his capacity but i have heard that a 4k engine can rev more because of his 75X73 bore and stroke.. it's a "square" engine...
-
In my opinion the std carb is the restriction point on old man's engine.with a weber dgv it is very possible to be much closer....
-
5k of course... :-)

Weber 32/36 Dgav On 4k Ke70 Help Needed

you can do two things for this.... 1)first of all to use a second breath filter 2)to do what i did...i keep the original carb plate in it's place(connect the pipe of the valve cover) and above that put the weber adapter plate..i use larger studs. i also opened the original carby plate to oval shape as the weber adapter plate..the same thing i did and to my inlet manifold for better breath of the weber. -

good job mate..only check if with pedal down opens and the second butterfly to it's end... I got the pcv breather from a car parts store in Greece (the country i am from)..."the other hose thats ment to go into the carby?" you mean the hose that hold i in your hand and you T it? i don't know but i would block it and use only one hose from the distributor to weber... And about the whistling noise...i think is the weber sound...i hear the same sound.... :-) -

remove this bolt that holds this bracket(red arrow) and you will see 2 holes in this place you will screw the iron plate... in my car down of the carby adapter plate i keep the stock carby plate,in order to connect the pipe(blue arrow)...the stock plate also protects the carby bole from temperature... -

look at my second post with the 2 pictures...look at the first one of the two... i take a piece οiron plate and fix the bracket...look at this..it takes me 10 minutes to do that..drill 2 hoses to bolt the plate on the valve cover..the valve cover has 2 holes... -

and of course you need a friend of yours to turn the key when you are in front of the engine to accelarate by hand and ajust the mixture and idle screw...because only you it's a little bit difficult.. -

Hello Anastasie... look how i install the weber in my car..it's so easy a job with the accelerator cable. i use the 4k stock carby things as you see and a bracket plate in valve cover... mine start pretty easy but the carb had been cleaned and had new gasket set...is the carby cleaned? if it has a blocked hole maybe this is the reason... -
does anyone have a 4k D dish piston out of an engine to measure? i can't find any other solution to find the dish cc... i read somewhere something about 16cc..but i want to confirm that...
-
hello.... does anyone know how many cc is the dish in a 4k-u engine?i want to build another head and measure the cr..but without removing the stock one....thanks...
-
of course your solution (adding a washer in the oil pump)is the most logical and correct one....
-
i was thinking if there is another easier way to do this without taking the engine off and remove the oil sump...that's why....
-
thanks alot...i was made a stupid question but...
-
hello..i want to ask you if there another way for higher oil pressure except the oil pump...thanks...
