  1. Yea I see that guy around alittle at the burnout comps. Old school car with a 383, turbo 400 and sailsbury. the cars get mistaken a fair bit
  2. Hurry up johnny boi and get it back. Need some other people to take there cars out and do skids
  3. havent been on here for ages. Really miss my 26 but cannot go back now. Anyway the HQ has been going good. Went to summernats and entered the burnout comp. Ended up coming 18th out of 350+ competitors. Only blew the power steering up on the sunday finals, drove home without the power steering so all is good getting my KE fix soon as John will be bringing his wagon around for some more work
  4. ahh now your thinking john!! Gas, converter and transbrake. You know its the way of the future  We could get you running in the 10's on a standard motor and upset a few people???
  5. Well done John!! when can I tub it???? and throw the gas at it?? please
  6. Well used the Tuff mounts - ended up remaking the lower sections 60mm taller cause the didnt fit and didnt allow the extractors or sump to fit. No clearence to the tunnel was needed although it is alittle tight in areas. The harness was sent to a guy in QLD I think his name is killer Kustom Kables. He did a great job and had the harness back to me in 4 days with all the extras that i needed on there. Other than that I did it all in the shed at home with help from a couple of mates for the wiring part = i.e I hate wiring. Any questions or if you want photos just ask. Cheers for the positive feedback even though its not a rolla. Still miss my Ke26 heaps aswell
  7. I havent been on here in ages. I previously had a KE26 and loved it, however it was stolen and burnt. After going through a couple of other cars I have now decided that I cannot have a good daily (KE26) and a nice weekend car. So now I drive a POS vr wagon everyday and Have my HQ for weekend duties. After helping John build his 13BT Ke26 I had the hankering for building my own. I know its not a Toyota / Corolla but I though I would put it up. Anyway it was a 253 timatic combo but now has: 2003 Ls1 Extractors 4L60e auto Hilux diff (done by curly) Prostars and a few other things
  8. No racing for you tonight big boy - its raining!!! Nice photos John. Geez its been a while since I jumped on this site. Oh when are you going to let me put a LS1 in it and come join me in burnout comps :P
  9. It is allowed in NSW check the RTA for the calculator and the NSW laws state that they are "Guidlines" which means you just have to find an engineer to sign off on it. However, to engineer it in QLD I believe that it is possible, maybe instead of asking for everybodies opinion, get the facts from you local authority
  10. Yes it had a hidden kill switch and was a little bitch to start. Putting all that aside if they got it started the gearbox was noisey for the first 3 gears, the diff was welded with one weld broken so all the power went to one wheel. For shit sake I bought a sigma because they are a piece of junk. It is really starting to get annoying. I don't like new cars so I buy older ones but it seems that they are just too appealing to the genetically challenged part of our society. Thanks for all the comments guys. There has to be some good karma coming my way soon I hope.
  11. Hi Guys, Well it has happened again. My 85 Sigma wagon has been stolen. Again with my kids car seats in it. It was taken from my driveway in St.Marys NSW. Rego - BH59TW If anybody see's anything please give me a call - Justin 0407775859
  12. I did see this at the nats and its a very good little thing however the guys were having a couple of little problems with it. And yes it has been built puerly for skids
  13. You have a pm! re head ligh surrounds
  14. Thanks guys for the kind words. Like I have told other people when you dog dies you can't replace the daog straight away or even ever, well its the same with this rolla. There was so many memories made with this rolla. There are a couple of reasons that I am not going to repair it. 1. The metal has had the zinc coating taken off it and is now open and pourus which will rust quicker. I know there that the body can be dipped again. 2. The roof is like looking out at bondi beach, very wavey. All the hanging panels are buggerd but I have replacements for all of that. 3. I really don't have the 20k to spend to rebuild it and would rather put that towards my HQ. I have bought a sigma wagon for a replacement, so its still old with a bit of cariture. Cuzzo - I will talk to john tonight and see if he still has a set. How many are you after?
  15. It was found in glendenning industrial area. Its amazing how many people know me thru this car. I will be driving a simga wagon soon. If you see me come and say hello if you want. I now will be selling all my KE26, 20 parts that I have. I still love them but cannot park one anywhere anymore and I already have a weekend HQ to enjoy. Never know I may get into them latter down the track.
  16. Oh yes i have been to the cops but honestly they have better things to be doing than chase idiots that steal 40yr old corollas
  17. Thanks for the kind words guys!! It has been found, but totally burnt. They have ruined a perfectly good car. It looks like the baby seats have been taken out, so I will look around the local pawn shops and see what turns up - not holding my breath but. So it looks like its the end of a great era with my 26.
  18. I have had my Ke26 Wagon Stolen yesterday 13/12/10 between 8am and 5pm. Yes I know that it is not the neatest car, but it is my favorite car in the world. The memories that I have with this car go back to my when my daughter was a new born. Both of my kids are devestated, my wife is gutted (both agreed that we would of preferred out 03 ss stolen). The real kicker in the theaft was that I was to pick both of my kids up from day care this afternoon. I had 2 car seats in the car as well. Details: 1972 Ke 26 Toyota Corolla 4 door wagon Green Rego - GJZ - 157 (original plates that came with the car :( ) NSW rego Stolen between 8am and 5pm 4k 5 speed Stolen from Beams avenue Mount Druitt NSW(yes I know its a bad area - just the nearest train station for work) Any iformation on it PLEASE contact myself on 0407775859 or [email protected] I really just want the car returned and am happy for it to be returned with no questions asked - I am really gutted.
  19. OK Update time again. I am doing it on John's behalf as he is to busy running around buying parts for me and him to install. Last nights efforts included starting a dash, almost finishing the surge tank (yes its the wierdest looking one ever), mounting the battery. I havent finished making the dash, still another 3 gauges and lights and switches to go in, hopefully by the end of the week that will be done Due to the space requirements under the car after moving the leaf springs in 100mm and having to get rid of the original fuel tank there was no where for a 2l surge tank to go. So after much thinking I decided to put it in the drivers side rear compartment. As that is sikke20 (John) working on the car for proof he has done a few things on his car. hope you enjoy
  20. About time you posted it!! now just to finish it and do skids, oh any copy everything to do the same with mine
  21. I have not seen that thing in years. Did you buy it off Sharon at Giuldford (husband is mick from Micks metalcraft)? If so its a good buy. I think that they had already made mounts to fit an SR20 as well. Anyway enough rambling, very nice buy and well done. If you ever want to get rid of the mags let me know.
  22. Sikke20 used the Hopper Stoppers Kit. They are an expensive kit but worth it I think. One thing if you do go with the adjustable camber tops you will have to get them machined down to the strut tower diameter as the HSD kits are a universal and come way to big, but 10mins on a lathe and they fit.
  23. Thanks to all for having a look and your comments. I am not a internet guru so sorry for not replying with the comment in the one text box. The pic of the rotary will be coming in the next couple of weeks, have mounted the intercooler, hilux diff, convo pros and the motor should be on its way from QLD in the next week - SIKKE20 (i think that his username) will be putting a post up soon. The intercepters were put on from a cortina project many moons ago and never come off the car. I will convert it to KE30 stud pattern one day. I wold like to go down the drag option but I think that I have enough on my plate at the moment and plus the HQ is destin to be boosted with LS1 before the Ke26 gets anything done.
  24. I have been meaning to put this up for a while just havent had the time (or secretly have been to lazy) Details Ke26 Wagon 4 door - I am the third owner. Bought from a guy in county NSW for a very good price 4k with extractors and 2 inch exhaust Ke55 front brakes standard diff - have now been through 3 2 1/4'' lowering blocks Saab 15'' intercepters on the rears Future plans have differed between SR, CA, Rotary, and turbo K series. Just have to clear a few other projects out of the way (another Ke26 with a rotary and a HQ with a Turbo LS1) Anyway enjoy and comment away. One of the HQ for the closet holden fans on Rolla club
