  1. You don;t NEED a new master it does actually work if $$$ are a bit prohibitive when you do it, you will just have to push the pedal further.

But like most will agree, this is not really a nice feeling having to push that far, a Pajero master bolts straight on and has no issues pedal feel is what you'd expect.

There is a thread in General Mechanical all about this and covers the entire conversion and parts required including part numbers. Have a search you'll find it easy as.

awesome mang... i'm going to look into this.. as my Kaysev has a long pedal as it is...

  2. hehe.. well... that depends on whether its as neat as it sounds and looks from a quick drive by.. and whether what I think it might be worth is what Peter thinks its worth. He does place a high value on most items after all :P

And I really need another car don't I... NOT!

its a few colours/shades of yellow but really the interior just has to be seen to believed... it is truly spotless!!!

like a new car... will make you very happy... but yeah, like you said ... he wont accept anything stupid like $1000

  3. I'm working on this conversion at the moment for mine. At this stage from my research here and on Toymods it only appears you need to change the strut tops to the ones you already have.

If you use all the parts, strut, LCA, brakes and steering arms, you will get bigger brakes, a bit of camber and it all works. A good cheap upgrade in my opinion. You only need to upgrade master cylinder.

Check Silverra23's build thread he has covered this in detail :P

Thanks a Bunch for your Helpful reply!!!!!

i did read about the pajero Brake MC upgrade... will look into it...

once again you are a Gentleman for your resposne.... if only all the people who contributed here could be like you!

  4. Ok Guys... sorry to dig this up... but i am confused beyond your wildest dreams.

I have KE70 and lookign to upgrade the suspension.... and while i have read this etire thread there seem to be so many variations of the same solution so i thought i would ask the question a different way.

If i found an XT130 corona at a wrecker, which bits can i use to enable a better front end suspension. all of it? LCA's? Struts? Strut tops, Springs? Spring Hat? Brakes?, Calipers?, Steering Arms?

  5. Easiest was to get them out without damage, is to get a very sharp stanley knife, lay it over on its side using the chrome trim as a guide, and shave off the top of the outer aspect of the windscreen seal all the way around.

You can then easily remove the chrome.

Quick and easy, just keep your fingers out of the way.

does this allow them to be re fitted? is there enough of the rubber material to hold them in place?

  6. looking good! this will be awesome when you chuck on the guard mirrors.

what kind of fender mirrors will you be running? kp61 style or more chrome like the ones on the te72 gt on the first page?

i just got them from ebay... they're black ABS plastic, bullet style lights... will look pretty good with the panda scheme i think.

  7. what are you using to apply the vinyl?

you can get 3m vinyl applicators which do a really good job

also sometimes doesnt hurt to put a fine mist of soapy water on the surface you are applying to first, so that you can make mistakes and work the air bubbles and wrinkles out. also means you can slide the vinyl around a little to get it into position

i used to do a fair bit of signage application on race cars and it takes a bit of practice but you will get the hang of it - there were plenty of times the race cars went out with wrinkles or stickers at slightly odd angles. at 200km/h no one could tell - but may be different on a ke :lolcry:

yeah i am great mates with a company who does the livery for a number of V8 teams (also South eastern side of town)... so i have been sourcing the vinyl through them. he also gave me an applicator.

been using the water + detergent, its a tough job, i should have got Series 9 vinyl.. the series 7 while looks soo glossy and thick, doesnt quite stretch enough.
