Hey guys just wonderin which 4AGE you guys would recommend, the 16v or the black top 20v. A lso which model of the 4AGE came with vvt-i, if any. i am on my P's so i can't use the 4AG-ZE..... unfortunatly! Any help would be awesome. :lol:

Hey guys just wondering how many people have had a chance to drive or have a ride in the new corolla. My dad is service manager for brian hilton toyota so he was one of the first people to drive one at his work. When he brought it home he took me for a drive and the new car is bloody awesome. I thought that the previous model had almost perfect handling but this things about twice as good. I have ridden in both the base model auto and the zr 6 speed manual and i have to say the manual is just amazing. The gearbox is sooo smooth and the ratios are close but not too close. It is also so much nicer inside theres so much more room! ANYONE ELSE HAVE AN OPINION? :dance:

only driftbattle is closing HPI will still be produced. I still had 12 issues of subscription left on driftbattle and i'm getting it transfered to HPI. I don't know about HOT4's as I'm not a "follower" as such.

Driftbattle is gone completely! Ben Ellis has stated in his editorial, issue 20 that: "I'm sure many readerswould be surprised to hear that I have never made a cent out of this magazine. The cost of producing it has always outstripped the budget we've had, espcially with all the overseas content we've included, and the difference has come out of my pocket. I didn't mind because I love the sport and being involved in the scene, but I couldn't go on pouring money down the drain forever... So issue 20 is the end. I won't be making anymore drift magazines, but i will keep on drifting." This is ONLY part of his editorial.

The much loved magazine Driftbattle will no longer be published. As of issue 20 no more of these great magazines will be produced. Damn!!! Damn!!! Damn!!!

Is it true that the 4A-C has a compression ratio of 8.8:1 and if it is what is the easiest and cheapest way to bump up compression, without going down the forced induction route. I realise that this will be illegal on my car as I am on my P's but will the boys in blue be able to tell?

how much do konig rewinds cost i can't find the prices anywhere!!! not even at the ozzytyres website.

How restrictive is the standard inlet system on 4A-C's. From looking at it it seems quite restrictive as it has two sharp bends in it. What are some alternative inlet systems that are still road legal, as in not pod filters.

I have seen big inprovements in other striped cars and i don't want a rocket ship just a car that goes a bit harder than mine does at the moment. in reply to those people that think I should save my money and buy a better car later on I had the money and the opportunity to buy a "better car" when I bought my rolla and if i wanted a different car i would have bought a different car. This is the car I want!!! sure it might not be the fastest or the best looking but its MINE and I like it!!!

If you must know the reason I am striping out the interior is quite simple, The Power to Weight Ratio. because i am on my P's and am allowed no engine mods the only other alternative to make my car more lively is to make it lighter. Following this I plan to install disc brakes all round and fit D2 coilovers. :S ANd by the way I don't want a "granny spec car" deNs!

how much do the rewinds cost (without tyres)

I am about to start striping the interior of my AE71 and was wondering according to the law how much interior trim can be taken out before the car is deemed illegal or unsafe. I will probably be taking out the rear seats, centre console and all interior carpet.

hey I don't have anything mechanical to add but its great to see someone else doing a build on a 4A-C it makes a nice change. Just wonderin what your motives were as it seems us to are the only ones interested in 4A-C tuning.

Does any one have any neat ideas on how to fix cracks in the dash. I don't have the money to replace the whole dash so I need a few ideas. I have considered covering it with a guage but i'm not sure how legal a gauge would be in that area. (the crack is on the passenger side right under the windscreen)

Has any one sucessfully supergharged a 4A-C. I was just curious as I am interested in seeing any resenable performance gians. I think supergharging is a great alternative to stand out of the crowd. I am also interested in 4A-C tuning as it seems not many people are into tuning them, they usually just drop in a 4A-GE.

I havent got any information but i'm just curious to find how well the kit works as it sounds like a great alternative to the usual single turbo or supercharging and would be a great way to stand out of the crowd. (a hard thing to do these days.)

Has anyone tried fitting a 1JZ-GTE into there corolla and if so how much has it upset the balence of the car. Also how easy was the conversion.

Hey I just bought an AE71 yesterday and was wondering if there is anyone who knows about upgrades for the 4A-C. I'm only 16 and don't have the money for a 4AGE yet but I would like a little more power as I would like to drift.
