kethurty! ok so i bought this ke 30 87' auto and have since tried to sell it . but due to the state it was in it wasnt a very easy car to get rid of for the money i was thinking. the 5k i put in was old and busted so it wasnt a very good sales pitch. but the plans have change and in the last three weakends i have got a little stuck in.... things i replaced or done: ex automatic 4k , 125000 kms sump gasket thermostat, new radiator hosses, hose clamps, gasket, radiator cap, heater hose. waterpump gasket, waterpump rockercover gasket,rocker cover washers and rubbers, fuel pump gasket new oilfilter and gasket, airfilter new gear box oil new oil, new battery, new sparkplugs, spark plug housing gaskets , leads new exhaust inlet manifold gasket. new exhaust gasket new spiggot bearing new clutch , thrust bearing 15x 6 wantanabes had bought a litte earlier. aftermarket mirrors new (diff oil) new boss kit, boss steering wheel tight ke70 5sp gearbox. reset valves new accelerator cable 34 adm weber carbie tinted lights

nah i havent got around to dynoing it yet but the clutch is near stuffed and the diff is only week so i have a bit of money to spend on it. apart from that shes a beauty. peace..

change of question, i have been threw the faq and found the types of diffs that will do the trick so now the question is where to find the diff and who in adelaide are good for installation? cheers

hey all, i just got a ke30 withe a 4agze and it only has a wagon diff center and it has a terrible wine and shes definately on her way out i was just wondering what i can do to replace it and where in adelaide would people recomend to find the parts .. thanks alot guys . paul

yeh i understand what you mean about breaking it up. but i wouldnt want to stuff it up. the side draft i never managed to get to run properly, with the socks on it flooded the engine and foweld the plucgs but when i test drove the engine it all ran fine in a ke30. i tried running the car without the sock and new plugs and still had troubles so i just got inpatient and changed it . i still have the sidedraft i should put it up fo sale soon. thanks guys and sorry bout the last posts! ill be normal from now on. alright its been a couple of days and i didnt expect to get near this much hate mail but any way. to try and answer all the questions, > it goes great with the 5k its alot more fun to drive. > the escort slid out on the way to work on the road from maccy to strath with a boot load of tools just as it started raining. yeh I'm not proud of it i wasnt even going fast but if you want to leave more hate mail knock yourself out. no i didnt roll it. > of course i want new rims the hot wires are just because I'm an aprentice , i never said it was finished i actually said what i had got so far. to every one else like scott who showed appreciation to the car , thankyou its hard when you don't do mechanics so i thought i was doing aright, hope to see you out on the road. there is a fine line between constructive criticism and being a wanker, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, and don't worry right what you want about what ive said all that matters is i like the car it keeps me happy and if you don't like the style thats fine I'm not YOU!

hey guys and girls its time i share my corolla with its fellow folowers! details. it is a 1974 ke20, it is toyota be86 bright metallic blue. it cost me $2200 which was deer considering i hadnt even finished paying off my escort panevan before i wrote that off. when i got it it had a locked diff with a 3k and stockies so i blew that diff in no time. that was the past! i have done all the work i was able to myself with much help from my amazing mother. now it has : >5k >32/36 weber >extractors through 2inch to an exhaust dynamics 2 inch muffler >stage 2 cam >lowered stiffened leaf sprins with heavy duty gas shokers >5 speed k50 >free diff >13X 6 hotwires >venetians >two saas bucket seats >new moulded carpet >all interior back to original, >sony explod headunit with pioneer 6 inchs in the front, 6x9 in the back and a 12inch sub in the boot >grandma visor >thermo fan >ke70 radiator >retractable seatbels >all new tirod ends and pitman bushes so she steers a dream now some pictures form start to now. sup clan, ive put a 5k into my car and the weber has been rejetted to the engine and its still running rich. so I'm guessing its because of how close the weber is to the engine bay. when the engine was in the last car it ran perfectly. has anyone ever had this problem before. how can i fix it. cheers peace. rawke20

back to the topic of mohitos i was at that club sugar in adelaide last weekend and the dj , driller ordered 3 mohitos so this cute little bartender whipped them up and driller took one sip and spat it out .... i was already on a another world so i kindly offered that me and my friends would drink those drinks for him and it worked. my friends and i all took a sip and it tasted so bad ( beeing that we were all ready drunk we slammed them down anyway) it was overrated!!! sorry that story was pretty minimal but i feel relieved getting it out. proceed.

yeh not me personally but two of my mates are both qualified mechanics and weve taken the whole thing apart cleaned it all and re tuned but it just puts too much in . i doubt its the mixture screws. but thanks

ladies and gentlemen, i was just wondering if anyone knoes of a good place to get my weber rejetted because weve messed around with it for hours and it just keeps running rich. I'm in adelaide and any help would be much apreciated, the sooner i get this done the sooner my car can be reunited with its siblings and i can come crusing.. peace .paul
