  1. don't watch much tv, but radio ads piss me off something fierce, at least you can mute tv ads |blink|
  2. Might give this a go in my suzuki, would be awesome for scaring fellow motorists...
  3. Hey guys, been awhile since ive been on here. My rolla project has been on the back burner for the past few months, but I'm getting back into it now. I've decided i want to make it street legal, and but a 13b in it. Most of the 13b kesevs ive seen have been track hacks so if anyone has info about how to do it so it will pass inspection and be legal i would appreciate it :D don't want to drift it now, just something fun to drive on the weekend/ or take to the drags and run a decent time. 13bt would be mad, but i heard its not possible due to power/weight :jamie:
  4. "ST 1*1" is written on the lca, the * is unintelligable, might be a 4. And the rotors are solid, not vented. So i guess they are corona struts, which is good i guess  Now just need some decent calipers and discs and ill be in business.
  5. yeah i would really like to know what they are from, i remeber the previous owner saying 'hilux' something but the lca could be from a corona. as you can see there is only one lca. I also have a steering rack arm from somewhere, ill try and post that up too.
  6. sorry this is all i have, rotor thickness is 14mm, has one control arm has 'ST 1**' written on it. They might be hilux struts that's all i know
  7. I have these struts, but i have no idea what they are from. I need to know so i can get some new rotors. They say 'toyota co' and '13046' on the side, and a sticker on the coil which has 'to8448003' on it I tried a google search and couldn't find anything. They are pretty big, massive compared to my ke70 struts. I'll put some pics up soon.
  8. So its not the original engine? :eatlead: It's definately not a 7afe.
  9. That's in redfern :eatlead:
  10. I was just reading the CAMS manual and i noticed this in the 'production rally cars' section One of my mates has a seca 'RV' and it has a 4AFE engine. I've always thought his car was a bit suss, wrong front grille for his year model, mismatched paint here and there etc. But if it really is an RV seca, should it have a 20v? it's a late 94' model, can't remember the chassis code. So is his an earlier model RV without the 20v, or did he get ripped off?
  11. I just spoke to a guy who can get me a 4agze for 500$...... worth it?
  12. Sneezing for at least an hour after using WD-40, happens every time. And parking fines.
  13. Privacy is over rated.... Photos were taken before i had a rolla, but the quality is pretty amazing, i think they blanked out the plates on purpose, they can show people walking out of strip clubs, but showing numberplates is a breach of privacy....
  14. Thanks for the input guys, I'm just checking out members rides and some of the conversions people have done, to get a good idea of whats out there.
  15. Did sr20's come out in rwd setup? That's the main reason why i was thinking of the ca18, don't have to change intake manifold+ other things
  16. I was thinking that, but a stock ca18det is only 130kw at the flywheel. I guess i could build it with stronger internals and up the boost. I don't want to put a rotor in yet, i think it might be too powerful for my first car. I can always upgrade the engine later on if i find the ca isn't powerful enough i guess
  17. Well I'm budgeting 1500 just for the engine, so i can get an sr20 or a ca18det half cut for that much, probably not a rotary. I have the hydraulic clutch setup so i would just need some custom mounts if i decide to go with a nissan engine. Fuel economy/reliability isnt a big deal, the car won't be seeing the street.
  18. Hey all, just bought my first corolla (ke70) and I'm not sure what engine to put in it. It used to run a 12a rotary, so the transmission tunnel has been cut up and remade to suit. I want to use this car as a drift car, something to get started with, but I'm not sure what to use. The 13b has great power to weight ratio, but not sure if it would be suited for drift, and i've heard some people are drifting with an sr20+ke70 combination, due to it being more powerful then a 4age. This car won't be road registered (is it possible to register a car with a 6 point cage?) so engineering wont be a problem. So yeh thanks in advance, :)
  19. We use engine flush at work in every service, even in old cars. Havent had any complaints yet, ive used it in my 90 swift and it hasnt died. I don't think its necessary but yeh the customers paying for it :bash:
  20. I like Hilltop, Funkoars (awesome live  ), Pegs, Natural Causes, Plutonic Lab, After Hours.. The list goes on
  21. haha that boy has been on just about every car forum in australia, good reading ;)
  22. Hey just thought id bring this up, ive been spending the past few months looking around at other cars for my next project, after looking at vl's, old skylines, and some other stuff ive decided a ke70 is what i want to get. Not for a daily, just for working on and rebuilding during my spare time. So yep I'm still keeping my eyes open for some bargains, hope to have one soon ;)
  23. sorry posted it twice
  24. in western sydney, blue mountains. i've been looking around for corollas and ive seen ONE ke70, everyones too rich here to own 20 years+ cars. but I'm willing to travel if i can get one cheap.
  25. Sorry if if i posted in the wrong section, wasnt sure where i should put it. i'm just having a look around the site, checking out the specs of different models and such, i probably wont spend more than 600 on the car itself, so a ke70 would probably be best suited for me, unless i sell my current car. Thanks for the info
