Murd 55

so today i managed to grab a set of bumpers for my car so as i can mix the two sets i have and end up with a good set, and a backup set for if anything happens. i decided to strip them right back and start polishing, so far only done the middle of the front bar and fiddled tryin to seperate the rear bar for a good hour with no luck as the bolts just keep spinning. (the front bar was just as dirty as the rear is in the pic, magic polish i say!) i also went down to u-pull-it and got some gas struts out a ford wagon, unfortunately were far to strong for the boot as i didnt really think about it, so i sourced some out of a barina from a friend and alas, perfect =] yay for not having to shove a pole in my boot everytime i need it to stay open =]

it would be a shit load cheaper if they didnt want to charge me like $170 to fit the extractors I'm gettin off mick. and i think like 330 for a 2inch system, with a resonator and sports muffler plus chrome tip doesn't sound too bad.

so for Christmas my dad decided to buy me an orbital polisher as well as some cut and polish so i spent most of today giving it a go, managed to get most of the imperfections out especially a lot of the scratches that had recently appeared from being in car parks.

hehe thanks lesley, have to get some polish and then finish her off, but I'm so pleased with how well the orbital polisher worked with the cut and polish to get all the damn scratches that had appeared from being parked in car parks. also spotted ravens 25, in his driveway :)

330 for exhaust, 300 for extractors and around 170 to fit extractors.

so looks as if i shall be grabbing some extractors of raven, going to the shop to get a 2inch sports system (resonator and sports muffler + zorst tip) and get them to also put the extractors in. coming to a total of around $800-$850, and expecting to be doing it early Janurary, first things first is organising the extractors from mick =]

trust him on this. i park my car at shopping centre i work at, everytime i come out, always more scratches from peoples hand bags and crap i assume. luckily most of them arent deep and will polish out, but still very very annoying!

rang up everlast, seeing as it was a phone quote they said around the $300 mark for the exhaust and around $600 for the extractors but an actual visual quote may alter the price. does that seem reasonable?

looking into going to everlast mufflers to get a quote as suggested by benzo, was thinking of getting some extractors from them too, so once again recommendations, people have suggested pacemakers but i don't really understand but I'm looking into deff going for a 2inch systen with a hotdog and a muffler.
