  1. The lower Radiator support for an AE71 Pano, is slightly narrower than for the replacement radiators. So I had to remove my lower support, to accomodate the new radiator. Depending where you are, come and collect it from me.
  2. Some time in the people did put pictures in the Gallery. I did too but I did enter the picture twice. How does a member edit the pictures in the gallery? The picture is a Generation 4 Rolla AE71 panelvan. I wish to edit; Delete one picture and obliterate the regio plate! Hmmmm howto?
  3. Thundering sh***t, It work again!! For 2 days it has been off line or not working, All other forums have been complaining about it's demise as well. Thank LRS (Spirit), I will keep fingers crossed that it will not disappear, as the rumor is that the lease on the site will run out in January 2010. 'appy again :P
  4. Hey guys, what are we going to do about an Electronic Parts Catalog? Now since 2 dec 2009 the site is down www.toyodiy.com Is there an alternate site or does anyone know of a EPC programme available? I don't and I do use it often. :P
  5. nah, would not use RS, wrong stuff and to expensive. Clarke has a good range at reasonable pricing. I got some window-belts and door rubbers and various clips from WWW.spectrumrubber.com.au, as RS stuffed me about and Clarke did not have the desired profile. And you can also try Grippy Rubber Products, in Silverwater, NSW.
  6. Buddies, I have Ke70 tachodash (straight facia) :) and I need a AE71 tachodash (curved facia) to suit me mobile. Anyone wants to swap? :) I'm in Sydeney
  7. [ i have the motor ordered and it will be ready for me in about 5 weeks] Cool, at last Sydney will have another *E71 Pano on the road. Hopefully that will be number three, that I know of. What kind of "Motor" will you use? Electric, lol :hmm: . Tell us what happened to your first (old) frame. Very pleasing to see that you kept interested in "Rolla's" after all that time. When yours is ready to be revealed we should organize a Pano convention. Well done, we all support you! :P
  8. Yep... Same here. I have registered with the KE70.com site as "Toyofan", and been approved, for at least 4 weeks now. But I still can NOT post. This is hopeless and frustrating as many purchase opportunities have gone by! :y: And I am loosing out on those Bargains. What are the moderators doing there? Can someone look at the NEW members and sort them out? :D
  9. Toyota Trunk Sale/Swap Meet!! Someting for the "Rolla- enthusiast", like me and all other Pano/wagon dudes! Definition of a swap meet: “Swap meet is a place where vendors come to sell or trade their goods. 10. on the mech dizzy theres one outlet for a tube to go to it but the electronic one has two and it came with a tube going to both on dizzy and don't know where to put pipe for the advance I had the same prob, with the 4AC engine, Mech 1 pipe; Electronic 2 pipes. One hose goes to "Ported-vacuum" and other goes to "Manifold" -vacuum. But if you put both hoses to "Manifold-vacuum" you will get better fuel economy!
  11. Its Nice, its different and its loud. :) At least KPROLN was prepared to show his work off at the Toymods show today. As an AE71 owner myself, can see and appreciate the afford he and his mates have put into it. Its a standard AE71, with a different look. Good afford, mate and don't let those "inapt apes" influence you in your next project. :)
  12. While I'm thinking of the manuals, I never had very much problems with the 4ac. Only real problems I ever had were, a clogged-up EGR (completely gummed-up) and a leaking diaphragm on the carby (secondary throttle diaphragm), NOT the AAP! and the bi-metal spring on the hot-airdoor broke. The original distributor (ND) had a advance timing baseplate, which does jamm if not maintained regularly, (see FAQ ignition this forum) All these problems individually caused spluttering and rough running. So maybe this give you something to look at. Manual TX?The transmissions on a AE71 is covered in the Toyota manual "T18 Repair Manual" KE7*, TE7* Mine covers K40, K50, T40, T50
  13. A very good and helpfull website, which gives you online maint manuals for any type or model, is (www.autozone/repair info/ vehicle repair guide) and if you then select /Fuelsystem, you will find the Aisan carburettor as used on the 4ac engine. This is of course, as long as you select initially your proper car model (Corolla 83, 1.6L 2B) This covers all your tuning and with the section on ignition (Vacuum advance) and exhaust (for EGR) you should be able to sort vacuum hoses out. Read the legends under the carby pictures carefully, as they tell you where the hoses go! Have fun
  14. I use the panelvan for wintercamping. I can stretchout inside the van, if I lie crosswise and passenger seat is forward. This beast is a workhorse. :fuzz: Camping and bike-transporter. Pushbike fits straight in, no disassembly. The only drawback I can see is with AE71 Panelvan is the extra large doors; hard to find. and perhaps the rear hatch door & bumper/mount ; replace from a wagon. Otherwise rest is all standard AE71 parts. Corolla panelvans are hard to find, but should be available (stock & 4AC) cheaply <$800.- :P If cost is more, than they have been modyfied already; so u have a bargain point. Picture of van; '83 AE71
