  1. 4k-u are a electronic dizzy with mechanical advanced, I'm almost sure the 5k and 7k are electronic with mechanical advanced 2
  2. ive got a denso electronic dizzy out of a 4k-u engine it has i ignitor in the dizzy with 2 wires, 1 from the pos and 1 from the neg of coil and 2 wires goin to the magnetic pickup, now the prob that i have is that the ignitor has craped itself and wont give a strong enough pulse to the coil. am i able to use a external ignitor from a celica or something like that to do the same job. before you say just get another internal ignitor, because ive tryed that and the only people that had any idea what it was were toyota genuine, and I'm not gonna pay $376 from japan for something that fits in the palm of your hand out of a 20yr old dizzy. hope to get some good news on this, cheers, ash

  4. does both sc12 and sc14 whine like that, if so my build is goin 4agte in my ke70 looks great, id love to see this beast up and on the raod,

  6. i work in lawnton (SEQLD) and yesterday i was handed a $50 note that looked ok, but my boss had another look and compaird it to one in has wallet and there were many lil differences, like the name under the peoples faces on each side were missing and also there are writing around the other way to normal, they look and feel the same as normal but there a fake there are heaps out there, just 2 shops down the road had 4 fake notes and another up a bit further had 2, so just be on the lookout for a $50 note that just doesnt look right NOT A FAKE WARNING
  7. ive got the same oil in engine, box and diff and have been goin for 6 months now, could that be why its sometimes hard to change gears quickly
  8. but under the new p plate laws the car can't be modified, so if there is a mod tag on it youve got no chance, play with the 4k, i can blow away commowhores all day any day with me lil 4k

  10. g'day all, ive got a ke70 panel van with a worked k4, (cam, ported, dual valve springs, oversized valves, strethend bottom end, 4-1 extractors ans 2'' exaust) until just recently ive been uning a stock asian carby on it and getting 76.5 rwhp @ 7900rpm. ive since put a 32 / 36 webber ontop of the beast, and power seems alot better but taking off or anything under 3500rpm it is really unresponsive and lacks power there. ive been told a few reasons for this 1 is that the carby is to big, 2 with the oversised cam and all the port work that 3500 is were everything works with each other and makes the power. what i want to know is it just something i have work around or could the carby be to big cheers, ash
  11. I'm doin the exact same thing to my worked 4k, I'm using 41mm quads from a zzr1100. and getting a manifold made up to suit from a mate.

  14. ive done some lookin aroundon the net ans saw a twin asian intake for a k engine. I'm just wanting to know what sort of dollars I'm looking at for a working twin asian carby setup cheers , ash
  15. yep, everything except for the vac advanced can be ditched, the only thing that ive got of vac on my 4k is the brake booster, i don't have a vac advanced on my dizzy thanks to the electronic dizzy,
  16. what is happening is once i have driven my car for a while (to running temp) the top and bottom hoses get very pressurised. it doesnt affect the running temp but, someone told me it could be the head gasket what do all you think cheers, ash

  18. yes, ive got 4-1 extractors with 2'' pipe, a first mufler under front seat and a 4'' outlet cannon at the rear. its farken noisy, thats in a ke70 I'm guessing the s600 is a bit smaller and wont have as far to travel, so the pipe size wont need to be as large.
  19. g'day all, ive got a ke70 panel van with a 4k that came with a nother another panel van i bought, the motor as far as i know has MASSIVE CAM, double valve springs, ported head, 4-1 extractors with a 2'' pipe with a bone stock carby ontop, i have no idea what is below the head (caus i didnt look further than under the tappet cover) i had it dyno'd the other day and it made 76.4 rwhp @ 7900 rpm the air fuel ratio was all over the shop and needs to be rectified soon, but what I'm asking is this power output for my lil 4k good, what have other 4k's made with what mods,
