  1. thanks mate, yeah I just want to make sure it will be okay before I destroy my new engine. I will be replacing the lines and pump also.
  2. Hey Lads, was wondering if anybody had done a diesel to unleaded conversion using the existing diesel tank. now obviously I can source a new tank but I have thought about cleaning it and re using the same tank. Can anybody shed some light on this? is it a bad idea? what should I use to clean the tank? Thanks in advance!
  3. man those steelies look so good! don't sell her..
  4. Thanks but ive got that too. now i just need some motivation, thanks for your help!
  5. ok, so using a ae71 x member is where i went wrong? will t18 mounts work on the ke70 xmember? i will hunt for some TA22 ones but i already have the t18 ones ready to go. thanks for the offer but i already have a 13tu sitting in my car, its just not happy with the tight jeans ya know haha.
  6. what crossmember should i use for a 13tu/ 3tc in a ke70. and its not the ae71 one x member. the starter motor hits the firewall. id rather swap x members than start bashing shit. ke70 x member, with t18 mounts? any knowledge from someone whos done this? thanks lads!
  7. do you mean tendancy to lock up under hard breaking? maybe ill just grab the mc if i go down the path of xt brakes how about for the T18 brakes? thanks alot!
  8. Okay i know its a pretty silly question but i have searched the web and i havent come across any threads/sites that say if i need to change the master cylinder? I'm stuck between XT130 struts and T18 struts. essentially all i want them for is the brake upgrade in my ke70. I want to know if I have to change the brake master cylinder or will the T18/XT struts just bolt in and i can then run the standard ke70 brake master? i know i have to change over the strut tops and whatnot, as am i aware that XT's are a tad bigger and there are decent upgrades available in the long run. I just want to get my car running... hahahah If i don't have to change the master cylinder I'm going for XT, but if i have to change it to run T18 struts i might as well change it to suit XT. thanks in advance :)
  9. thanks a lot for the help guys, I will silicone them once I get new tires and stuff, would it be okay to use "masters tire sealer" as a temporary fix? and would it even work?
  10. ill take the wheel off tommorow and have a look to see if I can find that weld. would I have to seal both underneath the tire or just the bit that is already exposed on the inside of the wheel? ill get pictures tommorow during the day
  11. I haven't taken the tire off so I can't check to see if the seal is broken or whatever. I think at this stage with the tire on pictures would be pointless like you can't see where the air could escape from. by the way just to get this clear the weld/silicon point would be exposed once the tire is off right?
  12. hey guys I was cleaning my wheels the other day and I removed the inside plate from the wheel cause its a 2pc rim. anyway once I got to the last few bolts the tire just deflated real quick, I realize I probablly shouldn't have had air In the tire, I'm just scared that now the wheel is ruined cause it won't hold air properlly, would it be a good idea to buy a new tire.. or get the wheel re rolled, the wheel looks fine, but like I said it doesn't hold air for very long. any help would be nice thanks guys!
  13. twin cam 3tg :hmm:..... oh right ive got a 71 x member at home actually, id still need to mod a t18 pedal box though and put that in though? and would i have to get a t50 or something? sorry for the dumb questions!
  14. i also just read that you can put a 2tg head on the 3tc? wow, so cool!
