  1. It's already been organised. here's the thread I posted here telling everyone that. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=5699&hl= So yeah, It's organised and in other toyota forums.
  2. Hey Guys, the toyota cruise has been finalized and now it just needs people to attend it. Here is the link to it. http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=111721 So if you want to know what is going on go and check it out.
  3. Well that's the whole point of going, to find other places, don't worry there will be meeting points north/south and in between
  4. Hey guys it has come to my attention that there has been alot of Cruise for Nissan's and Honda's but I have yet seen a Toyota Cruise made in a while so what I am proposing is a All Toyota Cruise, I am yet to decide where and when it will be so I've left that up to everyone else to choose. Places to go are: Wivenhoe Damn Hinze Damn Point Dangerous O'Reilleys and of course Byron Bay The months that everyone seem to want are January and February so choose on which one you want and I will tally it all up and combine scores with the other car clubs to find out when and where we are going too at the end of the week. Happy Posting. P.S. this is already on Boost cruising, not a member of any other toyota sites so if someone could redirect this to them or post it up in the other toyota sites that ouwl dbe greatly appreciated, That's if they aren't already posted up.
  5. Ok I'm sorry for the last comment but as he said in the last post, I mistook it for he was calling it a cheap rebuild, I didn't know that the KE55's and the KE70's had repco renamed to Toyota pistons in them, I don't know much about alot of the Toyota, the supra's are about the only Toyota I know a little bit about. Next time I'll ask why it was said instead of just going off like that, it's just all the probelms the car is getting is pissing me off because it's only been in the last week I've really had a chance to drive it, everyone else has been and cause more damaged than what I have. Once again I am really sorry for what I said, I'll try to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
  6. Don't have a stereo because I lent my cd player to a friend, she gave the car back to her dad with my cd player in it and hasn't gone down to get it in 2 weeks, so no music. If they are Repco pistons in a stocko motor than that will mean that Toyota are a bunch of cheap arse bastards, also means that the corolla series are as shit as Toyota, some how I don't think that is true, unless you are jealous of something that someone has but you don't and it's what you want. I prefer Mazda's and Nissan's to my slow piece of shit 1.3 KE70 but it'll do for now until I can afford to put a Nissan motor into it. Next time if you don't have anything nice to say, shut your mouth and don't say anything at all.
  7. All I know is that the noise was not there before my dad dropped the idle while I was at work, then it started making the noises, nah I don't think it is pinging, I know when it's pinging and it does it at idle and no matter how far the throttle is down. Not the exhaust or anything do do with that, it has not been touched since I got it. Could be I have to reset the gap (whatever that is), might be the points, could be the timing, but I think it has something to do with my dad adjusting the idle, my mate also adjusted the a/f mixture a while ago to bring the idle down, didn't work though, could that be it ?
  8. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my 4KC, if I put more than half throttle down to try to catch up to traffic or to go faster off the lights I hear a ticking sound or something like that. The noise itself is kind of hard to hear over the diff and the driveshaft but it is there, my dad said he couldn't hear it so don't worry about it, it has me worrying though because I don't want to have to buy a new engine for it yet, I'm not ready to upgrade yet and I need a working car to get to and from work. Someone please help, the ticking noise has me worried about my KE70. Further info, it's a 1981 KE70 Corolla. Stock standard everything, with a 4KC engine.
  9. Actually My dad and brother know what they are doing with drums so they can do it, or tell me how, also why is it I have to push the brake pedol halfway down before it starts braking, it is slightly annoying.
  10. The reason I want Disk brakes is because my first car had them, I prefer them over drums because they are easier to change the brake pads, I think, My KE70 for races, please it's to slow, a snail could beat it, Diff and drive shaft is weak, My old Mazda was better than it, at least that could take a thrashing from me and still not break anything. Oh well parents bought it for me because of what happened to me in woodridge. Never again will I go through woodridge unless I'm in a big group.
  11. Actually I was looking for a diff and possibly upgrading to disks because I just prefer them over annoying drums. Anyway if I can't get the disks for it then I will suffer with drums.
  12. That would be usual for a older 250 crossflow like that, my mate had an XF, used the same amout of fuel, 70litre tank though. used a full tank in 300 to, started dying then it started using less fuel. Don't know why.
  13. One that will fit straight in and actually take a bit of a thrashing from an itchy clutch foot.
  14. Nah I'm going to upgrade to disks when I get enough money, but what I want to know is how much for another diff for the car.
  15. The diff in my KE70 has decided that is wants to shit itself (Not all the way shit itself but enough to not drive it incase it does break), I'm just wondering how much will it cost to buy a new or second hand one, it doesn't really matter if it is second hand because I will be getting a new diff with disk brakes just to upgrade them from shitty drums. So how much would a new diff be and to upgrade it to disks and how much would it cost to get a second hand diff, may have to get a new driveshaft because my cluth foot is kind of an itchy bugger, same as my throtle foot. Also is it bad when there is oil in the drive shaft tunnel just above where the driveshaft meets the gear box and should I replace that too if it is doing that.
  16. I like the first one the best, don't know why I guess I just do.
  17. This was taken from tomorrow Edition of the reporter in the thumbs up, thumbs down section of the newspaper. Hooning made worse THUMBS down to the goverment and police for making the "hooning" problem worse. Since placing no standing at "hoon" hotspots, they now take it to the streets and not an industrial area. Now it is endangering lives. Anyone driving to these hoon spots are well aware of the risks and what they're up there for, but people on main roads, where they now go may not know. Give them a break, at least they work hard to be able to afford these hotted up cars and aren't dole bludgers, but confiscate their cars and they will be. I found it to be very amusing to read. What are you thoughts about what this person has said ?
  18. it's sorta of fixed at the moment, got my dad to look at it, he just adjusted the idle screw, now when it is warm it revs at grand, if I give it a rev it goes down, but the my friend who is driving it at the moment only give it the tiniest rev and it stays the same. I'll just get dad to re adjust it again.
  19. Ok so yesterday and today I was out in Stanthorpe on my parents property (dirt track most of the way (ofcourse I would've done a silly thing or two to see what it had) on the way back the idle was fine, idled at about 800, got to my little brothers godmothers house to see how she was, had to move the car out of the road of another car, it was fine, had trouble as usual trying to keep it idle when first kicked over, but it was fine, got one the road again, still fine, on they way home it was idleing a bit low, went out again and it stalled, but was going down fear and just coming off of the clutch so it kicked over again, then it just stopped idleing pretty much and was either stalling or idleing at 250 roughly, eventually got sick of it and pulled the choke out a bit to keep it going when stopped. Can someone please help, my only guesses are all the dirt road, and bumps, me friend (still on learners) said it is her fault because everything she touches breaks because he alternator stuffed up, please help.
  20. Ok I'll get photo's of it now. This is the wiring from the car. This is the one from the origninal headunit.
  21. Does anyone have the wiring Diagram for it, it would really be appreiciated if I could please see it
  22. Ok so I have got a KE70 Corolla with the stock standard tape player in it, I want to put in a cd player with only the rear speaker wires on the wirring harness to the cd player. What I am after is the tape player wirring diagram if anyone has it because I don't understand which wires to cut because there are 3 different connections to the tape player and only wires to connect for the cd player. Any help would be much appreiciated. If this is in the wrong place I am really sorry, new to the thread, if it is please put it where it is supposed to be if need be. Jay
