  1. 4AGZE rear water outlet housing with AW11 MR2 Green temperature sensor installed.
  2. 4AGZE rear water outlet housing (brown sensor) Part# 89462-20030 10K04
  3. OK. Today I confirmed that the green sensors in both the AW11 rear water outlet and the 4AGZE rear water outlet have the same size thread and can be swapped. Left: AW11 4AGE rear water outlet temp sensor (green) Part# 89422-30020 869 Right: 4AGZE rear water outlet temp sensor (green) Part# 89422-20010 10K12
  4. AE92 Corolla 4AGE head water inlet (points up and foward at an angle)
  5. AW11 MR2 4AGE head water inlet (note it points straight up)
  6. The AW11 MR2 4AGE head water inlet points straight up in the air, probably not good to pipe water into it at a 90 degree angle. An AE92 100KW 4AGE head water inlet points up and to the front at an angle, probably better suited to the job. Also note the alternator tensioning bracket mounts to the head water inlet. I did some hunting and got hold of an AE92 100KW 4AGE head water inlet, they are hard bastards to find too..
  7. this thread is based on a conversion for an AE71/AE86, probably best not confusing people..
  8. Car is almost fully assembled now, not far to go.. more pics can be found at http://www.rollaclub.com/gallery/?path=./m...rcia/assembled/
  9. Pics of the reassembly.. more pics can be found at http://www.rollaclub.com/gallery/?path=./m...cia/reassemble/
  10. Here are this mornings pictures you have all been eagerly waiting for, dragged the AE71 out into the light to get some better photos... more pics can be found at http://www.rollaclub.com/gallery/?path=./m...Marcia/painted/
  11. Some pictures from yesterdays respray.. From This To This From this To This From This To This More pics found at http://www.rollaclub.com/gallery/?path=./m...ainting/&page=0
  12. Love both cars, they look hot!
  13. Why muck around with custom mounts when it takes 2 seconds to shave a few bits off some 4A-C engine mounts.. You only need to do this if you have the oil return / sandwitch plate anyway..
  14. The car was rubbed back this morning ready for spraypainting.. more pics can be found at http://www.rollaclub.com/gallery/?path=./m...arcia/prepwork/
  15. Well, Nicks car Marcia started out like this More pics can be found at http://www.rollaclub.com/gallery/?path=./m...ge/cars/Marcia/ Then the rust repairs in the boot started.. more pictures can be found at http://www.rollaclub.com/gallery/?path=./m...Marcia/repairs/
  16. Rear of the 4A-C engine mount modified to clear the oil return line setup.
  17. Front of the 4A-C engine mount modified to clear the oil return line setup. (Angle grinder comes in handy :moon: )
  18. You can use 4A-C engine mounts on the AW11 MR2 4AGE motor, but the passenger side engine mount will require some modification. The reason you will need to modify the mount is so that it clears the oil return sandwitch plate and lines. You will also find that you will need to hunt for some longer bolts for the engine block to gearbox mounts. You can use your origional gearbox mount and crossmember. AW11 MR2 Oil Return Line Setup
  19. AE86 Spigot Bearing close-up.
  20. Also note that because the AW11 MR2 4AGE is a MR (Mid engined, Rear Wheel Drive) it does not have a spigot bearing in the crankshaft. (FF (Front Engine, Front Wheel Drive 4AGE's will also be the same). You will have to buy an AE86 crankshaft spigot bearing and press it into the crankshaft.
  21. AE92 clutch kit throwout bearing
  22. When purchasing the AE92 100KW 4AGE clutch kit for the conversion you will find the throwout bearing in the kit is the wrong type. You will have to buy an AE86 throwout bearing separately. (Not sure if you can order these 2 different items in the one kit together, best asking whoever you buy your clutch from).
  23. Also note that the 4AGZE outlet has 2 sensors, whereas the AW11 MR2 outlet only has one. The connectors for the sensors are different types too. I'm going to attempt swapping the AW11's Green sensor into the 4AGZE outlet where its green sensor is. By looking at it they appear to be the same size, This way I will have no probelms sticking with my stock AW11 MR2 ECU / AW11 MR2 wiring harness.
  24. 4AGZE rear water outlet (Not sure what Car / Year of engine it came off, will clear the firewall, AE82 twincam ones do the same job apparently).
