  1. yeah just did mine cos it overheated, blew the gasket and warped the head :( then to top things off, the coolant went into the oil :( 1. remove inlet and exhaust manifolds, spark plugs, leads and dissy cap 2. remove two bolts and on the top of the rocker cover and remove rocker cover 3. remove rocker gear 4. in opposite, diagonal order, remove the cylinder head bolts 5. pull off cylinder head 6. remove and discard gasket and check block and cylinder head for warping 7. (optional) remove and regrind valves into seats 8. install cylinder head with bolts in opposite diagonal order to correct torque (if u can get the bolts in corrent order from a book then thats better 9. install rocker gear, 10. install rocker cover 11. install spark plugs, leads, dissy cap, and manifolds 12. run engine till operating temp and then adjust tappets thats the very basic process that i did and it worked a charm :) good luck

  11. hello everyone i am having constant problems with the bearings on the shafts. I'm on the seccond set of shafts and have repacked bearings twice on this lot i get a whyne from the passengers side (i have diagnosed this side from jacking the car up and listening to the noise whilst in gear) it sounds like somthings rubbing on the side of the wheel but the noise is there when the wheel is on and off as well as the brake drum on and off is there another bearing on the inside of the diff near the centre that needs repacking or replacing? should or how do i get the bearing changed on the shaft? or maybe a new diff? all help will be appreciated cheers scott

  19. heyy guys, i tried to adjust the points on my ke70 the engine is stock, and now when i accelerate i get a sparking noise coming from the dizzy? do i need a new distributer? seccond question: i was trying to adjust the mixture and idle speed on the ke70 and i couldnt go under 1000rpm so i found the problem, it was the idle compensator wasnt sucking back in and there was no vacuum on the lead so i traced the vacuum leads back, and it turned out to be a jet, i put in a straight line conector so that jet is bypassed, and it worked. is this going to affect anything else? cheers scott
