A carby v8 would be pretty sick if i didnt have 2 cut the firewall. how much heavier than the v6 do u reckon it would be?

Been pretty crook last few days so here'a what i've got done last weekend and during the week. this side was absolutely shagged when i started, i was gonna throw it away but i wire brushed it with a 5 inch grinder, welded up a few rust holes and it come good! boots done too. i completely seam sealed it so there will be no boot rattle if i decide to put a stereo in it. i have a few pics of the doors which i will put up later. could only fit these two up without reducing them too much

Bit of an update... sorry bout the crap pics, still learnin. shell is in high fill primer along with front guards and front apron. boot and bonnet in etch primer now too. I have pics of the boot and bonnet but i left my camera at the workshop. i have the outsides of all the doors in etch aswell, currently doint the insides. the rear two are done and there are a couple of holes i need to weld up in the front ones. more pics soon

hey, a 5 litre would be mad but i don't wanna spend that much and i'd really like it to be manual. plus i don't really wanny cut into the firewall. not really a big fan of going the turbo route either. i do like them but they can be a pain in the arse. my thoughts were a vn v6 would be a good cheap option. do you know what else if anything i have to upgrade to het it engineered? i thought vic was one of the best states to get stuff engineered?

Hey, i've been doin this for about 6 months now. i have it at work so i do a bit on my lunch breaks, after work when i can and on sat mornings. thought i'd put up a bit of it. Nothin special just a stock 30 with a 3K and 4spd. I got it for free so can't complain! Over not a bad little car. My plans were to give it a quick scotch brite and matt black. :) That went out the window of course! Just got away from me. Started rubbing and didn't stop. I now want to get it as straight as i can and spray it the colour of the ford rip curl utes. (greeny blue) And now i want to put a vn v6 in it. Cos they're so cheap. pics wont work. it says they're too big? it only lets me use 1mb. how do i put them on? each pic is at least 2mb EACH

ah had a look at NickZ v6 conversion, look real good. should be enough 2 get me started. thanks guys

hey, don't wanna go turbo,had a vl an it was a f@$kin pain in the arse, don't like rotors. don't really know thhe other 2. the v6 wouldnt be any harder thatn the others would it? i was thinkin v6 cos they're dirt cheap an go ok with a 5spd

Hi, i just got my first rolla, wanted one for ages. I love the ke30's. Mine is white with a 3k engine an a 4spd. The odometer says 55k. I dunno if that can be right :sob: It's gonna be my daily but i want it looking half decent so i was gonna paint it gloss black and lower it. I think i'm gonna take the rear leaves out, heat up the ends, roll them the other way and add an extra leaf. This sound right? And with the front i wanted to buy some lowered springs and shocks, anyone got any or know where i can get some? I want it LOW. I was also chasing a right front guard with chrome strip and a boot. Any help will be appreciated, cheers
