had a good look at it and it seems to be in the wiring... CBF finding the break/short so i ordererd an electrical temp gauge this morning cheers for the help lads

hi all.... alright so i swapped out my 4k from my old ke70 into my ke26 a while back.... I'm at the point now where I'm just gettin all the little bits finished and remembered there was an issue with the stock temp gauge.. .... ok so when the 4k was in the ke70 temp gauge worked fine etc ect ....original 3k in the ke26, the temp gauge worked fine etc etc ....new 4k in the ke26, temp gauge is not working.... alright so on initial start up gauge goes straight up to above hot (i know its not hot cos its been running for 3 seconds lol). leave the car running until the thermostat opens and find the temp gauge starts to slowly go back into normal zone but then just keeps goin to cold.. so the question is has anyone had a similar problem. do the 3k and 4k temp senders run on different resistance's? or is the temp sender just f@$ked lol. P.S i know the cooling system is fine as everything is new, radiator, thermostat, water pump and flushed with new coolent. so if you know whats goin on or can help pm me or post here cheers

Alright guys need some help. the door mirror I'm using looks shit.. so what i want to no is, what mirrors fit and what mirrors look good. looking more towards chrome. pictures would make this even easier also not goin for fender mirrors as the car has just been painted and no longer an option lol. thanks for your input guys

thought id give an update has been sooooo long lol. coilovers in, 90mm drop in the rear end, car has been panel beated and just finished respraying it in 2pak. sure ive missed heaps of other shit ive done lol. the car is almost complete just need to get it to the exhaust shop for a new system then ill be putting it on the road... pics will be up in the next couple of weeks. wanna have it complete before i get so good pics. also whats your opinions on red stockies with white walls on a white car???? I'm considering doing it lol

well I'm thiking of doing the car polaris white 2pak with proper satin black window surrounds and trims........ just want to no are they good quality????? has anyone bought these and do they think there worth it

as the title states want to no if its worth paying $100 ish for the ebay items or attempt to repair the ones i have. either way i go ill be re-painting black. so let me no what you guys think......... yay or nay cheers luke

got my carpet of ebay..... you need to trim it a little..... i suggest you use a heat gun for a perfect fit

well in the ke70 i had a fuel return so i had a electric fuel pump..... I'm geussing ill be running a mechanical pump as it has the pressure cut off majiggy lol... yeh i was just thinking of blocking the return.... I'm geussing the mechanical pump should have enough pressure for the webber well when it goes in ill figure it out....

alright so I'm putting my 4k out of my ke70 into the ke26.... just had a quick look over and noticed that the 26 doesnt have any fuel return lines back to the tank.... I'm running a 32/36 on the 4k which has a return.... the question is what happens with the excess fuel if there is no return to the tank??? and what am i goin to do with the 32/36 which looks like it needs a fuel return?????? anyone else had this problem??? how did you over come this??? cheers for the help luke

still no big updates at the moment... its been like 3 weeks since i sent the struts to be converted and hopefully be ready tomorrow... all the front end has been cleaned up and have sprayed with under body coating... but thats about it.. ill put pics up when i get the coilovers back and put in....

don't think ill be using the centre consloe at the moment.... got another one in the build..... also should have the coilovers back this week...... yeeeewwwww

try www.otomoto.com.au they do a kit with springs sleeves etc etc for $300 and there in aus

yeah mate using a sleeve kit. was gunna do the conversion myself but decided to get pedders to do it.... its gunna be close to $1000 for the whole conversioin but its way safer/better than chopping the springs... plus ill end up with around 4inch of adjustment....

have done a little more.... front suspension being converted to coilovers at the moment... will get pics up when i get them back.. took all the front end panels off and started cleaning/ preping for some under sealer. when i get the front sus back ill also be cleaning the engine bay. may even take the engine out and do some seal on that....

alright did a little ringing around today and found some shocks which are shoet stroke and the body is 2 inchs shorter. the bloke said that should be more than enough for 3-3.5inchs lower. i also found out that the sleeve kits made steel so nice and easy to weld on... the shocks are $150 each but ill have to see what trade price is... i will start getting some bits together over the coming weeks and post some pics etc etc thanks for evryones help much appreciated

it also comes in a 48mm.... so that would give me .2mm clearence.. so that would work perfect. so if i just used standard size shocks the problem i would have, the shock may bottom out and my drop would be massive.... but on the other hand useing the 38mm short stroke would obviously be a better idea thus reducing the chance of bottoming out the shock.... as the car isnt goin to ba a race car or anythin i think this set up should work ok as its a hell of a lot better/safer than cutting the springs. i will do some investigating tomorrow and see what i can com up with.... thanks again for the help

alright sweet cheers for that.... i enquired to otomoto and he said the 51mm sleeve kit should fit .... the only delema i have tho is finding the right size shock to fit after the strut has been shortend i will have to ring around and try figure somthing out.... can anyone give me some measurments of there modified coilover ke20 struts or give me the formula to figuring out how much strut will need to be taken off to allow for 3-3.5inch of lowering.... the last thing i want to do is cut it to short or not short enough and weld the sleeves on.... sorry for asking so much i just want this to be as hassle free as possible... cheers luke

got a couple more pics heres that light i was talking about... wont be using this one just using as a prototype. also retrimmed my door cards yesterday... got the sewing machine out fot the first time ever and sewed up some handles. and heres a pick of the tail gate painted white (pretty bad colour match lol)

how much did you cut off the strut???? what height does it sit at when wound right down (how low)???? what tube size sleeve kit did you use?

lol yeh ive thought of a few plates but that will be the very last thing i get lol and i aint payin 2000 for brucy lol..... would be good tho
