  2. Girlfriend suprised me with this today Got to love it.
  3. Thought i would throw up an update, 11.911 @ 120.5mph
  4. Thought id give a bit of update its been a while and a bits changed, car is now run in and also had a small bolt on fitted, i have just fitted a GT Pumps 76 HTA turbo am looking at having it tuned next week so ill post a pump and e85 dyno sheet asap. The turbo was a very simple install minus a few broken studs and bolts that wanted to be a pain to remove. Ill grab some photos this week to show how "standard" this turbo looks. I'm very happy with how the engine bay looks i don't think it will even draw to much attention and suprise a few with how much power it makes (seeing it looks quite stock to a non evo owner).
  5. Ok the cars back on the road and seeing some k's to run it in. I'm seeing some wonderful fuel economy 90l to 260km,s on E85 but thats lead foot driving to 5000rpm. i must say its starting to pull very hard. Once i get 1000kms on the clock I'm changing the turbo setup. I am currently looking at running a Precision 5857 or 6262 I'm leaning towards the 5857 as I'm not a fan of boost hitting after 4k rpm as a few people running this turbo on 2.3 evos and pump fuel are seeing 4500rpm to make 30psi where as the guys running 58's are seeing 3800rpm. plans are to get the K's on the car over the next fornight and Have the turbo on and tuned mid to late July.
  6. It it a very large task even when everything goes to plan but when it doesnt it leaves you wanting to put your hair out. I have pull the timing cover off the front of the car over the last two days to replace a stretched bolt that was causing an oil leak. If i had to do something similar again in the next 6 months id just pay someone. Though on a plus side i have learnt a huge amount out about my car which i wouldnt have normally known.
  7. A pic of the cooler "Black" stealthed out Not that itll make it look sleeper though alot of people make an effort to look at the front of the car to see if it has a cooler.
  8. It has to feel good to give a modded R35 an awesome run nearly even beating him
  9. just did a quick youtube search most of your offstreet runs are on there
  10. Back in and had first start up today, might have a small coolant leak to track down might have pinched an O ring.
  11. Just a quick update got a heap done this week basically a little work to do in the morning and ill be firing her up! Heres some progress pics. Jim Berry 3300Lb Clutch
  12. Depending on the Corolla's trim level and transmission, the curb weight of the AE86 can range from 2,300 pounds (1045kg) to 2,400 pounds(1090kg).
  13. werent the fully optioned ke70s around 1000? I'm sure a 1j fits too ill do some more research. Nope 925kg (sure ive seen 1j Ke70s around somewhere) series 1-3 rx7's are spot on 1000kgs from memory so are ae86's Lj torrie is 1100kg or you could go really sleeper and get a volvo 240!!! E30 beemers are 1050ish
  14. yeah doubt it i kind of have a habit of giving things a hard life. giving me an excuse to make it "stronger" which somehow ends up making it faster.
  15. it certainly is AE70
  16. Oh look a hot ke70 panelvan in the background.
  17. Just a quick update got some parts back last week and starting to reassemble the big girl.
  18. thats prob a good question I'm gunna ring a few wreckers tomorrow and see what i can find and go up and measure etc
  19. Ok after alot of searching i can't seem to find any info on anyone doing this (i want to keep my rolla auto but want a 4th gear for more highyway friendly revs) i want to put a 4speed auto behind my 4k in my ke55. what I'm thinking is i am going to get a 4speed auto from a 7k equipped townace. For this to work will i have to use a 7k flywheel, has anyone done this? does anyone forsee any problems with this working.
  20. Yeah to get it to idle in drive it has been idle'd up, and wants to pull. it also bangs when down shifting now to. but hey it sounds cool.
  21. Yeah not the best its in a bad need of a converter to make it bareable the cam has nothing down low so it take a while to get moving, but once the revs get up there its fine.
  22. Finally got it back together this is what the bad boy sounds like at idle. KE55 Massive cam @ Idle
  23. ohh hell yeah
  24. Just a small up date got myself a 32/36 and i had an old 42/88 cam lying around so I'm throwing that in at the moment hopefully ill have it up and running in the morning and try and get video of the idle up. After fitting to my ke70 wagon my mates were convinced i had a 12a under the bonnet.
