  1. Got 2 runs in before I had converter bolt issues again....... Drove the car down (120kms approx) first run 10.65@127 blowing the breather fitting off my cam cover and spewing oil onto the track and my dump pipe from 3/4. Track that fixed I then followed it up with a 10.75@127. Seemed to be geared just right first shift light of 4 came on both runs as I was crossing the line and I can still lift the revs 800rpm yet if needed. Added bonus was Sleepercorty managed to run into the nines and drove the 250km round trip. I'll throw some videos up tomorrow night when I get a chance
  2. Race time tomorrow night getting keen, diff gears have been changed to 3.89's it picks up a lot better than the 3.45's so will have to see how it goes.
  3. For reference Evo was daily driver for wife was on e85 for over 2 years no issues
  4. Check out sleepercortys ke38 he just converted his turbo 4k to it. I've had 2 cars run on it without issue and have seen a datsun 1200 carbed ute run it fine gained a lot in the mud and very little in the topend (cold starting is a bitch some times) not so much an issue with efi. Best results are on turbo cars, n/a sees some gains but with high comp I'd assume a lot better gains. Personally I had a 206kw@wheels Evo jump to 254kws no mods but tuning and my Rolla gained 30odd horsepower which was 10% from memory at the same boost pressure.
  5. Drags once the weather clear!

  6. 18 psi is not much boost good to have some headroom if need be.
  7. Good to see mate, give em hell at powercruise. Had a quick look to couldn't seem to find anything, what power does this thing make?
  8. That was my main worry and the reason to change it while it was out and easy. If this doesn't work I can always put the spray back on it but I don't really want to as my aim is to keep the car a "true street" car. My main reason for changing everything of late is my goal is to be one of the faster 4 cylinders at Queensland Drag Week https://www.facebook.com/pages/Queensland-Drag-Week/214905535345128 an event that will see street cars travel a lot of Kms and racing at 5 different tracks over 5 days. Towing trailers carrying all their own tools and spare parts with no outside help.
  9. No it was the converter that caused the issue it wasn't machined right in the centre originally and caused preloading on the flex plate causing the converter bolts loose. Which caused the the damage, it is fixed now just getting modified to stall higher as I felt it was just a little to low. It will climb up on to boost but takes 5-10 seconds as it's close to being big enough. Another 500rpm will make it just less stress on everything and make it faster to stall it up
  10. Destroyed a flex plate so while the box and converter was out to get repaired it's getting modified for a extra 500 rpm stall will have it back Monday so I'm hoping everything is still good for Wednesday night. Heaps of mates heading down racing as we have a public holiday here on Thursday.
  11. Ah yes I forgot about that maybe I should leave it till I race on Wednesday night.
  12. More boost netted nice results 23psi
  13. Mine has been modified with an 8mm pickup it's quite easy to do
  14. Why? Because queensland drag week!!!!!
  15. Had a busy week this week got the Rolla up to Goleby's Parts/ Forced Performance to put in my new built motor and new parts. Put my 6 boost manifold and turbo on and everything fits so well. Got a full stainless exhaust made. Had a few small issues like cams that didn't clear the motor so head needed a bit of machining to fit. But it's all in and running now and I'm getting very excited about what the future holds for the old girl. Have a few more gauges and stuff to wire up but all should be done this weekend and I can start enjoying her a bit. She hit the rollers this afternoon for a quick tune. Made 265hp on 10 psi and 315 on 14 psi so I'm excited to see what some real boost will put down. Sorry about the upside down dyno graph can't figure out how to spin it on my ipad......
  16. Interior looks super clean a rare find in a car that old
  17. I believe the LSD centre is a cone type, as I'm running an falcon centre I'm not sure if they are all they same but would assume they are. they can be shimmed up so they are tight. I think KAAZ does a clutch style option for the BW78. If any of that helps
  18. Yeah was just talking to a mate this morning about going billet. yes 1 factory 1 cut
  19. I'll just get one made, thanks for the offer though want to make it beefy
  20. Just got my diff back from the mechanics that installed the diff gears. It needed an overhaul as all the bearings looked a bit crap and he found this!!!!! So I'm currently tracking down a new axle to get machined then ill order my tail shaft this week starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere
  21. Rear : Koni adjustables in the rear reset leafs with a thick helper spring (stops tramp) Front: unknown shock and king spring super lows I now use ET Streets for rear tyres before I used Falken RT series tyres which I thought had good grip till I bought the ET's
  22. Chasing 270 is a nice number for a light corolla I managed dipping into the 11's with exactly that power sleepercorty managed it with 240ish but his 30 was lighter than my 55. There was a slippery centre and 4.11 on eBay for $200 a few days ago when I got my 3.45s to swap out for my 4.11. You have chosen well going 4.11 it made my corolla a very snappy little beast.
  23. Changing a lot of things on the rolla, getting ready for Queensland Drag Week changed my mind on the garret turbo and bought a Precision 5558 instead chose a .48 rear housing in the hope of getting good response. Dropped a block off at JHH early this week to get modified and machined. Got myself some new gauges a new wideband, trans temp and a fuel lvl gauge as mine has been playing up. A GPS sender to convert my speedo to gps based so I don't have to worry about recalibrating it with wheel changes and diff gear changes. A new set of diff gears (3.45) as I previously was crossing the line over the quarter on the limiter (8000rpm) in 4th(1:1 ratio) and my trimatics top gear is the same. All the parts to build a new 3" stainless exhaust and plumb back the wastegate and vband couplings Pro ratchet shifter and a brand new Crank Angle Sensor A new upgraded s13 ARE radiator I'm currently pulling the diff out to get the gears changed and servicing the brakes while I wait for my short motor to be finished. And
  24. Some more early Christmas presents, had to take advantage of some cheap Goleby's Parts items and bought a new turbo, sexy 6Boost manifold, external gate (45mm or some shit like that) and a set of 270deg Cams
  25. Picked up a little early Chrissy present for myself yesterday, a fully built trimatic, bellhousing adapter and a dominator 5500 converter. Time to step it up a bit and go fast. Early in the new year I'll get it fitted along with some cams and maybe a new computer/dash
