So anyone seen anything of interest at the northern yard? Looking for mainly ke70 stuff

Have they still got the chrome looking outer trim or are they plain black?

Yeah thats the one mate didn't know what they were called. Yeah got my old ones off with not much of a problem just figured why there all off I'd get new ones to look the part. Yeah got a couple of badges from the wreckers and there again not to bad but was hopping for new and shinny :)

Hi all, Looking at rubbing my KE70 back and replacing all the chrome trim around the top of the door seals fixing up rust then giving her a respray. Having some troubles finding the chrome strips that fit above the doors covering the little dwelling, the triangle vents behind the rear door and also the rear boot badges. Does anyone know if these parts are still available as new or even an ebay copy? Cheers Scott

sick cheers man had no idea what they were called. You wouldn't know if you could get that rear triangle part new would ya?

Hey guys just wondering if any1 knew the best way to remove the chrome trim around the door, also the little triangle part just behind the rear doors on a KE70? Can post pics if people unsure what parts I mean. Cheers in advance Scott

Spotted a overrated beige KE70 this arvo with rola40 plates from memory

Just called bridgestones to get a price on 195/50/15 said he can't do that for me its against the law for them to do so. The smallest he'll got is 225 ? I had these on my 18 x 9's on my 32. Question is where in Adelaide (western if possible) can I get 195's and some1 to put them on.

Wow I wish I got those sort of K's per tank or km/100k. With filling up my tank I would be lucky to get 400km's. I have a ke70 with a 5k running 32/36, extractors, 2 inch zorst with lol sports muffler. Just had the car dyno'd and carbie rejected, I some how seemed to be getting more K's/100 before this though??? And no it wasn't running lean.

Nah I have 14 x 6/50 on at the moment on my wantanabies which I have to sell before I get the superlites. P.S anyone know what wantanabies are worth with decent tread on them and recently powder coated???

LOL I was gunna run 195's on the 8 inch but after that think I may look into 205/40/15. Unless some1's had success with 195???

Alright so now next choice is tyres. I want some stretch, but was wondering what size and style/brand people suggest?

Before I start sorry if this has been covered I've typed into the search function but couldn't find. I'm looking at getting some new rims for my ke70 sedan with standard guards at the moment but will be flaring out bottom lip as in tech quide. My question is will 15 x 8 +/- 4 fit under the guards with some stretch tires or hang out? The car is only a weekender but I don't really wanna be getting defected and asking for trouble. Light comes on and goes off as usual, the noise is only 5 seconds or so on random starts. It sounds like lifters tapping but it can't be.

I'd say using stock lifters as I didn't rebuild it myself bought it as a recon. Nah not tappets I got solids, oil filter has been changed recently but I can certainly change it to a genuine carolla one if its worth it???

I've got a recon 5k motor which has solid lifters and new oil in it, but when I start the car I let it prime itself then go to start it but it sounds dry and sounds like the lifters have no oil on them. Would this be an oil pump and if so where can I get one from???
