  1. Everything that has been added about on the money. We have had both silvertop and blacktop on the engine dyno back to back. All of the factory tuning changes resulted in about 20hp, certainly more than we thought there would be. They are lighter internal components, cams, exhaust port shape, compression and larger throttles. The blacktop loses very little down low but it continues to make power well into the rev range. In fact the blacktop was bontinuing to make grunt at 8600rpm! We rev limited it there to keep the engine in one pice. It has npw done 6 race maeetings and is still going strong! The silvertop ended making 165hp at the flywheel and the blacktop 185hp. The only significant tuning differnce was that we had longer, larger and more loosely tapered trumpets on the blacktop. We had identical light weight billet flywheels on both engines.
