We went to Pick-a-Part today hoping to find a tailgate for the panelvan because they advertised a 1982 station wagon but we got there and saw but it was a Ke70, but we walked away with a chrome petrol base thingy and a thing that holds the window for the l/h door. Whilst walking around finding seat ideas for the Ke36, I accidently lost the rubber to the window thing. We also were touring around Coolaroo and we found this dodgy Wreckers, in Maffra street. You could say he had almost every car in there. The only rolla we found in there was a Ke70/Ae71. We were looking for a LiteAce van with a 5k in it, but most of them had 3y's in them. We got to the last one and the 5k was already ripped out. Cheers, Woz & Josh

Well, in the last 2 weeks, we haven't done much other than finding a name and new plans. The name of the rolla is now Ollie. My dad found this name after saying to my cousin that he's been calling it "Ollie the Trolley" and when I heard the name Ollie, I said to myself that by time this paint job comes it will suit the car. We're going to paint it LC-LJ Torana style 2-tone Orange or Papaya (Gold) over Black in an Enamel Job in a shed by ourselves. I was quoted from a guy up the road from me $6,000 for a full-on properly done Metallic 2-tone Paint Job which included smacking most of the dents out, taking out windows, etc. etc. We've also decided to slap in a 5k engine and when i get fully licensed, bolt on a supercharger. I researched on Wikipedia and Google and turns out that if it's properly tuned, it wil make 100hp+. When I searched Google, I read about someone on this who slapped in the same idea with his ke70 a few years ago. We're also trying to get the Tint off the car which the previous owner put in dodgy Purple Tint and it's been a bugger to try and get off. We used a Heat gun to soften, but it only worked a little bit. My dad researched that using Ammonia gets it off but it's also a risk of breaking the glass of the windows. Any Ideas?? Parts I need at the moment, when i get the money, are: Ke30 or Silvia Seats Ke36 or Ke38 Panelvan or Wagon Tailgate 5k Engine Cheers, Josh

Quick update de-badged the rolla and filled all the holes and we have repaired all the rusty panels ( minor ) next w\end we are going to tackle the tailgate unless someone in melb has a spare for sale cheers Woz & Josh

Thanks Matt, Dad said it's time to save up more dollars now, so after we put it back together it goes back outside (mum wants the garage back). But at least it has been fully painted underneath and it would be ready for the panel shop as soon as i get rich $$. We are going to slap in a 5k Engine with a webber carby for now until dad finds a Supercharger for it!! :wink: It probably won't see a cruise for a couple of years yet, but with the way the ol man is going, it could be sooner. Well, Dad and I went to Pick-a-Part again because they had another ke30 just put in there Friday Arvo. We got there at about 9.00 this morning and the L/H Front Guard from the rolla was already pinched :wink: . From the rolla, we only walked away with it's bonnet. There were 2 other ke30s but they both had dents and smacked-in panels. Then we drove everywhere to find Front Guards and a Front Bumper and we found a place on Market Road, Sunshine called Gazzas Auto Wreckers. He had plenty of ke70 stuff and some ke20, ke30 and ke55 parts. We only got a Front Bumper. Then we went to Enzo Wreckers in Sunshine just off the Ring Road and we hit the Jackpot, 2 clean guards :lol: !! He also had brand new in box front panels for Ke20 & ke70. We were going to get a Woodgrain Steering Wheel there but it wasn't Roadworthy. I'll upload more pics tommorow Cheers Josh

Progress update Dad has now finnished painting the front end and the undercarrage up to the diff and hopes to finnish the back half tommorow here is some more pics

Well dad and i spent another couple of hours tonite workin on the panzy ( it was damn cold in the shed ) dad is gonna get some gloss black paint to paint all underneath and under the guards here is some more pics we have striped the front off Yeah no rust under there :P Cheers Josh

we are going to re-paint the diff front struts & fuel tank then do the interia while we find new front panels but main plan is to get all the underneath repainted first cheers Josh

The next bit we're gonna do is take out the tailshaft and paint the under but with the exhaust, we're gonna paint around it. Josh :)

Dad had to weld in two new plates after we discovered rust in the chassis after he had it all fixed & treated it he put black deadener on it , we plan on painting the whole underneath next saturday he has also started to pull the front off ready for new panels when we find some so far that was the only major work its all gonna just slot together now over time Cheers Josh

Just after 7.00, Dad and i just finished what we had to out of the other few jobs we have to do. Part of under the seat had rust on it and the seat holder thing closest to the gearbox wasn't attached properly. These are the after shots of one area under the car. Josh :)

Well just an update from the last time i posted, So far we've taken out the seats because the ones i had were ripped and torn, Plus i need to get really good overrated condition seats that will last. Today just after 12.00, we put the car in the garage and we started looking at the car underneath it. This is what we found,

Well here is an update. Dad and i went to heaps of wreckers lookin for a front end over this weekend and come out empty handed. We started at pick-a-part in Campbellfield and went to every toyota wreckers in Melb and finished in Caroline Springs If you see a good front or you have a spare good front ya want to sell please post up ( preferbly in melbourne ). Dad is willing to drive almost anywhere in vic to get me one, oh and i have $150 bucks to spend but I'm sure dad will help me out if its a bit more. Cheers, Josh :y:
