in regards to the tilt steering column... I worked with mechanic that told me he fitted a tilt column and it was either a toyota avensis or a kia carnval, did need to cut and weld and manufacture a shite load but he ended up with a steering column that tilted and extended in and out too!!!! I'll try and ask more people and see what I can find out. Just go to a rollaclub meet and ask the ioldest person there, usually they're more than happy to tell you how to "modernise" you lovely rolla... :P

Thank you so freaking much!!! My missus is getting her licence so unfortunately due to only two car rent limit she gets the KE70 as a day driver. ANd I'm driving a 180sx. However the ke is getting old in the motor and the missus has a driving skillset not warranting anything too powerful. But because I still drive the ke from time to time I'm gonna go 5k with added extras along the way, cam, flat pistons etc. I'll post photoss of the build up over the next 6 months then more photos of the engine going into the car.

Before you go wasting time and money if it isn't head gasket, probably is though. Buy a $10 bottle of "seal-up" from Autobarn shake and pour, into the radiator and let it do it's shit. It chem welds a metal over small holes. I had the same on my 4kc in the ke70 and used seal up, fair enough not a "proper" job but freaking cheap in comparison. Within 5 minutes of putting seal up in the radiator already made a difference. Haven't needed to touch the radiator since, about 2 weeks so far. Temperature sits constantly on 1/3 unless out bush giving it stink. then it may go up a needle width. Just another suggestion mate.

A 3Turn RC motor has more grunt than my 4k did, but a set of extractors, lumpy cam, new head and a full port and polish including full balancing of everything. Makes a difference.... BUT like fcuk I'd spend the time and money doing that shit again. 4agze block with 20v 4a head and a t series turbo strapped replacing the SC. You want power grab an IS300 lexus and turbo charge the 2jz.

I found a performance engineering firm and gonna do a complete overhaul of the 4K maybe add a turbo later?? F^&*ed if I know to be honest...

So I managed to find a new 3sge Beams from the US relatively well priced... Now I need to ask the obvious question, will it fit into an 83 ke70 or am I wasting my time? I have access to a good mechanic and hoists etc, I need it LEGAL too... Any suggestions/ comments?? Here's what I want in it..

yay someone else that agrees!! There's a club called "damage" that has everything from s13 silvias to old skool drift, they're happy for us to branch onto them for extra numbers if needed, so rolla drivers don't feel threatened, there are other people that genuinely wanna see some nice rollas at munchies... Yeah man, mate of mine's got a T something diff in Lismore so i'll pick that up next friday. Then Konig Rewinds or Superlites, lowered springs.... I've found a guy that'll import 4AGE 20v half cut for me, it'll cost around the 2-2.5K mark, and my mate's a mechanic and he'll help me put it in. After that, 4AGZE pistons, cam gears, quad throttle bodies, and an aftermarket ECU, don't know what computer yet... But there's also an SR20DET that my mate planned to put in his Gemini and he munted it, so he has a SR20DEt with under 80K on the clock sitting there.... What would you do??? 4AGE Turbo or SR20DET??? I'd kinda like to keep the rolla Toyota 100% Mayer

Just wondering is anyone interested in getting there tomorrow nite?? I've done some foto shoots for brisbane commodore club and custom commodores, so it'd be awesome to have more rides beside my 83 KE70, and get some pictures... Let me know Mayer

As Ibought her for $350 from this dude in Ipswich, Had shagged suspension and rust in the boot. Rust has been cut out and plated, and i fit Monroe GT gas struts in the front. About to get dropped on lowered falcon springs rear and commodore springs front. And trying to decide between konig rewinds/ superlites, or five point challenger rims.. Any suggestions?? I'll post up some new pics soon, it's now got a black bonnet, and soon will be two-tone from the door handles up black and silver underneath. Keen to meet up with anyone from the Brisbane area to do photshoots etc, and cruises... But I'll look in the event calendar... PS anyone that knows what munchies is?? I'll be there on friday night.
