  1. Well it’s the first car I have ever worked on (read my other posts and you will see I have no clue at this point) at the moment I’m just cleaning up rust and some of the body work (previous owner reversed down the side of his house... literally) and from there ill just be building up the k4 http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...a_tough_K_motor with that and the service manual ill just be learning on this one. to start with ill be doing the Carby (new one) then I’m thinking maybe the Camshaft but ill need to do a bit more research on that one first, not sure if its worth it... basically I’m looking at making it into a "quick" reliable car but not to worried about performance. If that all goes well ill get some mates help me drop in a 4age As I said its the first car I have worked on so not looking at anything to drastic just yet
  2. I'm sue this has been asked before but i did try google and couldn't find anything at searched this site... how do i tell what engine i have in my ke70? I'm 90% sure its a 4k but how can i check? like i said dumb question...
  3. thanks mate, but unfortunately I'm from WA
  4. @quadeyquade sorry mate i mean an late 83  pics at http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=31962#entry357545
  5. the rust i spoke of... by the way if anyone has a boot for one of these can you PLEAS let me know? thanks guys first attempt at bogging a hole... I'm proud  so what do you think?
  6. hey guys, this is my rolla, first ever. its a late 83 model KE70 (correct me if I'm wrong, still haven't done enough research on them  its had one owner and done about 443000km, runs well apart from the occasional cold morning stall after about 5 meters haha body is "ok" some killer rust and i think ill need to remake a section of the boot and behind the rear drivers side wheel :y: its my daily ride so all work i do needs to be finished before i go inside... makes it a little hard some times haha i called her "white dwarf" haha! eventually I'm looking at doing a bit of "custom" work to the bumper and skirts... possibly a pipe dream but we will see :hmm: and yes i have red P plates but I'm actually 23
  7. hey just wondering if it is posable to get or if anyone knows where to get a scetch of a ke70? profile would be best but will really need a front and read one to. just a line drawing with no shading that i can easly draw over the top off... I'm probably not explaning my self to well so i have put an example below...
  8. Hey guys, Just got my first Rolla (ke70 late model 86) just wondering what wrecker everyone uses or where the best place is for parts? in south river but willing to go most places. Mostly body parts but need some engine parts too, money is an issue but i do understand you get what you pay for  most of the time Any help would be great!!!
  9. yeah sorry your right its not na, it has a greddy t88 for the turbo... i should really check befor posting... and spoke to the guy... yeah HEAPS of mod... much cheaper just to get a supra  i can post the specks if ya want
  10. If you got the $ why not get a 2jz-ge? Apparently they can be pulled of 93 supras (half cut for about $1700+) and gets about 10sec on 1/4 mile but (and i am NOT the most knowledgeable about this so please feel free to slap me down) it would need a custom mount and drive train... and by the time you get everything and install it I’m guessing it would be cheaper to just get a supra... Anyway i think it would be nice to see and if you got the time and money why not?
  11. yeah i thought so... looks like its time to get the mig out... bugga...
  12. Hey guys, First post so please be gentle :sob: I just got a KE70, only one owner but its done 445000+ still runs very well and was well looked after only tube and the such is not stock. The guy I got it off can't drive any more (he is about 80 and didn't think it was a good idea). The body work was looked after very well but in the last few years looks like it has been let go (can’t blame the old guy). My question to you is what panels can I take off? for some reason my old man is convinces the panel behind the rear wheel is removable but I cannot see any way of doing that and it just so happens its been hit worst but the red worm. And from what I have read (Google rocks!) its normally the worst part so I don’t think it will be easy to get a straight swap...
