styler Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 just saw this story and was thinking how many people use spigot locating rings? story Quote
irokin Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 I don't know anyone who runs them....and I'll be buggered if I can find a place that sells them...... In all fairness however, a Soarer is 1600kg AND he was running full slicks. And whos to say he didnt over tighten his lug nuts? Probably still a good idea to run them if you can FIND THEM. Quote

Super Jamie Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 you are not supposed to run aftermarket wheels WITHOUT spigot rings generally the downward load is supposed to be taken up by the spigot, and transmitted to the wheel bearing, which is designed to hold the load of the car not the wheel studs, which are designed to have lateral force applied to them, to hold the wheels onto the hub, and not an awful lot more Quote
