Super Jamie Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 saw this in my local paper today hahaha  http://www.northernstar.com.au/localnews/s...condsubsection= Dan Taylor, owner of Rosebank Repairs, and his Rover mower with a Toyota Corolla 1500cc motor that he will race at the Bangalow Quote
flat out Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 surly the engine would starve it self of oil and have false economy? Quote
ancullen Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 My father-in-law has a non-working front deck sitting out the back of his block, and he's been eyeing off my spare Corollas for their motors. I had told him he was welcome to them (since he was storing the cars for me), but have since sold the motors. Still, a 4K powered front-deck woudl be pretty cool. I'm wondering if this Dan Taylor guy is a member of any of the Corolla clubs, as the engine is presumably a 5K, so it didn't come from a Corolla unless someone had done an engine swap. Just wondering if he did this and didn't bother explaining it to the newspaper, or if he doesn't know that it's not a standard Corolla motor. Quote

ancullen Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Still not as good as the V8 chainsaw. Hell, it's not even as cool as the Harley-powered chainsaw. Quote
