Cam.Giles Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 and whats the stud pattern...? (does anyone own a 98-01 corolla and have keyless entry) Quote
SoulSearcher Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 hey, I have a 2001 AE112R Sportivo and it has keyless entry. One of my staff just bought a 2001 Corolla sedan and his doesn't have keyless entry OR electric windows...and his stud patterns the same as mine. Lesley :y: Quote
love ke70 Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 (edited) what stud pattern is that lesley? from memory they are 4x110 f@$kin brain fart! the stud pattern is 4x100, apologies Edited December 2, 2006 by love ke70 Quote
Raven Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 i thought like most Front Wheel Drive cars it would be 4 x 100 Quote
ancullen Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Stud pattern is definitely 4x100. As for the keyless entry, I'd be fairly surprised if there was already a receiver in the car if it didn't have the keyless entry option. If the dealer can't provide you with the full keyless entry kit for that model, then why not just buy an aftermarket kit from Jaycar or similar? I've found that a Jaycar kit being used by my father-in-law on his Ford Courier has better range/reception than the standard keyless entry on my 2003 Corolla. Quote
SoulSearcher Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 my old, old car didn't have remote entry and for about 400 bucks Tektronics ?! (sorry has a brain fart and can't remember if that's their name) put in an immobiliser and remote entry. It was awesome!!! Lesley :) Quote
Cam.Giles Posted December 3, 2006 Author Report Posted December 3, 2006 yeah but i can get a kit to do it for $80 (from big w) its a rhino imobiliser that hooks up to central locking for keyless entry Quote
Dan Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Yeah, but thats not counting for the actuators for the central locking, wiring to it etc, plus it'd be a headf@$k putting an immobiliser in a late model car unless you are up to date with them. You'd be better off *just* doing the central locking rather than trying to incorporate an immobiliser... Pretty much anything by Jaycar is the go, I've noticed... Quote
