Hi guys i don't know if this is in the right spot for this kind of thread but here goes anyway. My ke38 wagon has major rust in the drivers side A pillar so much so that it has gone through. when i bought the car it was just two bubbles through the paint but as it needed to get a blue slip inspection etc i decided to see just how much rust there really is so i atacked it with a screw driver prying out the bog and to my discust there was a hole under it. So now i have to decided whether or not to get it fixed by replacing the panel or just simply scrapping the car. I like this car and would love to see it fixed and on the road so that i can drive it around but i have no idea how much it is going to cost at this stage now.

Please help with ideas and sugestions and recomendations for repairers in the sydney south area.

farrk, nice hole. a good panel beater should be able to weld a new plate in there and bog it.

i know an old school smashrepairer in the tempe area that welded in plates and are cheaper than any modern panelbeater, pm and ill get their details

Check how far it extends. In that area, it usually spreads underneath the window rubber because thats where the moisture settles, you might need to take out the windshield. If you can find a clean replacement section thats cut out from a donor car and give it to your panelbeater, you will save heaps of money on his hourly charges.

thanks i havent gotten as far as taken out the window yet i am going to do that in the next few days or so. then ill check it out more.
