Clown Posted March 19, 2007 Author Report Posted March 19, 2007 (edited) One thing i forgot to post, did you put the Monroe's in the rear or were they allready there? Got quotes on alarm, fuel system, and a few other things today. Looks like car will be reg'd next friday, then on the monday, conversion starts i think! Edited March 19, 2007 by Clown Quote
Neonasty Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 ahh. I'm not sure. I actually got the car from my sister. I kind of do remember they replacing the rear shockers. God the suspension was soft though. It really needed some harder spring/shocker combos. Quote
Des Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 How come you can't do the fuel system yourself ? Quote
Clown Posted March 20, 2007 Author Report Posted March 20, 2007 quotes were for parts, not for getting someone to do it :D Shocks will be done soon aswell  ahh. I'm not sure. Clown Posted March 22, 2007 Author Report Posted March 22, 2007 Just got back from a mates house in the corolla, went parts hunting. Someone decided to follow me all the way home which i found odd, managed to loose them before getting right near my place. Quote

Your current location doesnt seem very safe for you, Will be glad to hear you have made it to S.A :D Quote
Clown Posted March 22, 2007 Author Report Posted March 22, 2007 yeah tell me about it man, this place is f$%^&*! With all the stuff i have to organise for SA. I'm goin to leave the engine conversion for a little bit and just getting car reg'd, then suspension and rims go in/on. I'll still be collecting the rest of the stuff and sending it to my folks house so its all ready for when I'm back to put it in with mates or having it in car ready. The car will be lowerd on good shocks and springs and on some rims for sa. The engine/boox/loom/cooler setup is here waiting, i'll buy the fuel system when i get to SA, i'll track down an exhaust. I'll look into getting S13 coilovers/brakes for it when I'm in SA aswell. The diff is goin in tomorrow or over the weekend. yay!! :D Quote
Clown Posted March 24, 2007 Author Report Posted March 24, 2007 Diffs 80% in, finishing it off tomorrow, gotta pick up front shocks off a mate, put the steering rack boots on, put new front brake hoses on, bleed system, rust repaird next weekend and its road worthy! Quote
Clown Posted March 25, 2007 Author Report Posted March 25, 2007 Diff is in minus the handbrake cables, started rust repairs today. Progress is good! Can't wait till its all finished though! Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 yeah mate, rust repairs are gay. Is it bootlip area like usual? Quote
Clown Posted March 25, 2007 Author Report Posted March 25, 2007 Though it was, but we removed the seal and silicon and its a little worse then though, its all in easy to repair places though. Allready cut metal out of my spare series 2 ke70 for the repairs :D Quote

You could try filling the little seams that hold water lightly, so as to force water to run out properly. Worked really well on mine. :D Quote
Clown Posted March 26, 2007 Author Report Posted March 26, 2007 Few photo's of where its at. Note the wheel well is just crap in there and slight surface rust. Quote
Clown Posted March 26, 2007 Author Report Posted March 26, 2007 (edited) Will grab some photo's of where we are at with the guards tomorrow when i clean out the boot and take the bumper off. Anyone know of any TRD 6kg or 4kg rear springs for sale? A small tacho, king springs "low" springs for front, and also the part number for KYB excel g's in short stroke for rear of the ae71? Goin to run the kings in the front just till i get to adelaide and track down s13 coilover setup. Edited March 26, 2007 by Clown Quote
