7shades Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 (edited) Ok... So there's a myriad of freaks, weirdos and just downright morons out there who have come up with all sorts of wacky, pointless or just dangerous ways to run an engine on alternative fuels in one form or another. As some of you may be aware, I myself have long had an avid interest in these sorts of technologies. In fact, I have built a stationary engine which runs on hydrogen, generated on-demand from a tank of ordinary tap water. It works, but without lots of money and very shiny bits of equipment and a small team of very clever people it will never be the true closed-loop system it needs to be in order to become a viable replacement for good ol' fossil fuel. Now... here comes this bloke joe... he's an aussie... (oi oi oi)... and he seems to have come up with something that despite my best efforts and research I am still unable to fathom the workings of... I mean it appears to WORK but as yet no-one can explain why. Kinda like anesthetic. Initial appearances would indicate that this machine seems to operate in a completely different realm of physics.... I quote: "Imagine a device about five inches in diameter by ten inches long, with a tube running from it to a bolt on your engine. Your engine is running, but your fuel line is disconnected. Not only does the motor run, but it has far more power than it did when running on gasoline or diesel. And somehow the car responds to the accelerator, even though the fuel line is disconnected." I will be dedicating a sizable portion of my time to building one of these in the very near future. It may be a complete and utter waste of my time or have no basis in reality whatsoever... maybe its an elaborate joke... but I'm willing to risk looking like a dick to give this thing a go. Click. A more in depth explanation can be found here: Click2 I'll be very interested in hearing people's thoughts on this. Cheers Edited May 6, 2007 by 7shades Quote

Jono Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 i thought BMW had hydrogen 7 series AND hydrogen fuel stations in germany about 6 years ago. Quote

7shades Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 (edited) Don't worry Sbox.. no-one is getting my money. In fact, there isn't anyone willing to take it in return for this technology. Hydrogen is easy... I've already done it by copying a meyers design which is almost 20 years old. One of these days I'll be transferring it to one of my "mule" Ke70's for some real world testing... just gotta remake the components in a manner more suitable for an automotive application. (read: stainless steel so it won't explode in a very pretty but rather deadly fireball) The future of hydrogen powered cars doesn't lie in "fuel cell" vehicles though... they become pointless when you have a vehicle which generates its own. Fuel cells are Big Oil's last ditch attempt at controlling the fuel supply. Same with hybrids... they're just a means of squeezing the last little drop from the fossil fuel sponge. This Joe Cell is a pretty conventional gas converter... it works like any other... except, with this design they have noticed some very different "side effects" which have yet to be explained using conventional physics. Most of the references to "orgone" in relation to the cell are what the hippies in byron reckon the machine must be producing. (since they can't think of anything else it could be) Myself I think there may be a more scientific answer. I'm just gunna have to build one. Edited May 7, 2007 by 7shades Quote
