Corona

Featured Replies

i'm havin lots of trouble finding info about corona's

i just bought an avante with IRS and was hoping somebody would know what parts from other cars fit with little mods, i've heard a little about s13 suspension but there wasnt much detail

need help with stiffening up suspension and hopefully finding an lsd/minispool etc. that will fit, any other bits and pieces i can mod/swap from other models would be great!

cheers, darryl.

Doughtful you will get a LSD for it, wouldn't bother with a minispool myself, may as well just get it welded properly, its cheaper and less mucking around getting it made etc.

also with stiffening up the suspension, talk to Lawson (AJPS) he would be able to get springs made to suit in any rates you want, he can also recommend/supply shocks to suit your application. contact him on 0407 716 089, he is based in SA bu posts all over Australia etc.

Ma61 lsd's to fit the Corona irs rear end.

Custom king springs are the go as well, Choose your own spring rate and height.

i applied to join toymods but i havn't got any emails back or anything, so i can't see any of the private articles.

but does s13 suspension fit? incase i decide to go down the coilover path

i'm more interested in stiffening up the ass end of the car first

cheers for the help

For the rear id go for a custom set of springs so you can choose how stiff you want it to be and the height, And some decent shockies.

If you go S13 you will most likely need to use s13 lower control arms as well, You will need to get a tape measure out and measure up RT142 corona lower control arms and s13 ones. I don't even know if the top of the strut bolts in.

A coil over kit with sleeves you can weld on might be a better option.

Your diff is a F series 7.5 inch if i remember correctly, And a LSD from a MA61 supra do fit it, TT142 LSD centers fit as well but are relatively rare.

I was quoted $160 for a custom pair from Goodyear but my father worked there for a long time so...

I don't know if its straight in but Ive read on toymods of a few people doing it.

They validate every person that registers, Might take a few days.

Also, if they reject your registration, don't worry about it. Do it again, making sure you fill out EVERYTHING correctly, including a phone number, and they should let you in. Basically, be yourself and you'll have no problems
