does the 7k have the starter motor on the left hand side ( when looking at the engine head on?)?

 

my brother was driving his works townace for a while i had a quick look underneath and saww the starter motor on the left hand side, it went quiet nice even though it was a auto

Nope, normal K side. The hydro clutch is on the drivers side.

 

You can just see the heat sheild for the starter in this pic behind the exhaust....
