In all seriousness the Lanos isn't that bad a car, it is fit for purpose. Costs nothing to run, it has a surprising amount of grunt for a shitbox and we've done plenty of long distance trips in it no worries.

 

But it got neglected and they're a motor known for sludging up, and it got a sticky tappet likely due to a blockage.

Any updates mate?

 

I'm going through the same issue with compression on the 5k at the moment, as I have also bought oversize pistons with a very shallow dish.

Anything new with this???
