ANDY.H
hi there,i have a rebuilt 5k motor with a 3k fuel pump.now the car runs really well, doesnt miss,on the flat it doesnt starve for fuel,if anything its good on petrol until i go up acertain hill.it nearly cuts out.i have rang a carby rep and he says to look at the fuel pump.my question is,is a 3k fuel pump different to a 5k fuel pump?also the carby is from a 3k[the carby rep says the carby is big enough].any suggestions thanks
camerondownunder88
Hi, On my 5K I run a 3K fuel pump with no issues so if it is the pump maybe it is broken? Or also try fuel lines of tank pick up? Cheers Cameron

Taz_Rx
If your going up a hill then its most likely a pickup issue than the pump! Does it do it with a full tank of petrol?
