Mighty tas rolla Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Posted January 26, 2008 UPDATE  Finally got around to starting work on my ke30 and guess what i found... Rust... :y: but on the upside it will be easy to fix because its only in the engine bay :) :bash: also i managed to get a ke70 with a 4k a 5 speed box a 32-36 weber carby and extractors for free so i am rather happy about that. i have attached so pictures the last pic is of that very front rail that runs below the radiator how would be the best way to fix that?? Thanks The ke70 Quote
Mighty tas rolla Posted January 27, 2008 Author Report Posted January 27, 2008 Update: well 2 in one day I'm on a roll :hmm: :S i started pulling the ke70 apart i plan on using the front brakes, front seats, rear sway bar custom adapted and a few other tiny little things including handbrake console. i have planned out what i want to do and some of the modds include: 4k with 3k bigport head 32-36 weber and sports filter extractors and sports exhaust ke 70 front brakes inc preformance pads rear swaybar nice set of wheels hopefully 5 spoke i don't know why i just like them and fix up all the bodywork and anything else i think of or get told would be cool Thanks Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Did you end up sorting out the console? Quote
Mighty tas rolla Posted January 28, 2008 Author Report Posted January 28, 2008 nah i havent as such i think that will be a job for today as the interior is all i can really do.. I don't think i can do the body work very well so ill leave that to someone with some experience also does anyone know if a k50 will bolt up the same as a k40 and the gear leaver be in the same spot not further forward or backwards Thanks Quote
bruce Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 The shifter would be further back if a KE70 K50 gearbox is used in a KE30, there's info about it here: The speedo drive in the KE70 K50 may be different to the earlier ones, so the speedo might be out a bit; they can be easily changed over. JiP Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Or you could use a KE55 K50 and the wholes will just line up. Quote
