Hey guys, I get my licence back in 2 weeks soim going to reregister one of my seca's but i have had it unregistered for a year and a half now and had it road worthied 4 years ago, I have asked a few people will i need a roadie to register it again as i dunno cause i have never had to reregister one of my cars that has run out of rego but they couldnt tell me either, I couldnt find anything on the QLD T'sport website so i thought id ask here.

My brother in law didn't pay his rego cause he moved houses and the bill never got to him. When he realised about it the rego was out by like a month longer then the most final time that it can go without a roadworthy. He needed to get a new roadworthy before he re registered it again.

 

So to answer the question, yes, roadworthy required.

Yes you need a roadworthy, but IIRC you don't need to present the car itself to transport if it was registered in your name.

Cool thanks for the replies, I was just getting confused as i have only ever done first rego's in my name and transfers but never a rerego and i wasnt sure if this was classed as a new registration, Learn something new everyday.

Up to 30 days after the registration expiration you can pay the late fee and have it re-registered, after that its treated as a new registration.
