Felix
really? i have had a few dished piston 4ks. going off the factory cast numbers on the insides of the skirts of the pistons, two identified as 4k-e and one a 4k-u, this from japanese piston manufacturer catalogs. Super Jamie
i was under the impression that only some 4k-e and 4k-u engines have had dished pistons. probably something based on year of production? i know i've heard of people getting non-heron heads off 4k-u motors
rusty_starlet
hey just thought i'd let you know the 4k-c DOES have dished pistons, (or at least mine does) its from an automatic 1984 starlet incase that makes a difference. i bought it from the wreckers for $400 and i took the head off today only to find alot of rust and about 4 too many pistons that were dished. grr. oh well, 5k time.
