help. ive bought a soarer front cut with a 1jz 5spd in it. it runs smooth and is going into my ke55. lots of mods, money and work to be done, i know this. what will help me along the way would be a english wiring diagram for this model. there are jap versions available floating around and a cd i can get over the net for $110 as a workshop manual. I'm struggling to find a cheaper reliable source of information. cheers for any ideas

All of the wiring for the 1J ecu, is non-existant in the 55, so you might aswell just start a fresh with an aftermarket ECU with a new wiring loom.

Leave all of the 55 as it is, and all you really need to take from it is a power here or there, and a ON ignition source as a relay trigger!

I don't think you will really need the ke wiring diagram, you will only want to remove wires from there

eg. starter, alternator, ignition, as these will be in the soarer engine loom.

Then as tas_rx said you will need to take ignition power, full power, from your existing corolla fuse box to relays,

You must use relays so you don't overload the existing corolla loom.

Try these for the 1jz diagram:

My brother is currently doing a 2jz conversion and got his diagram off supraforums,

On a 2jz there is only 5 wires that need to be plugged into the engine loom to start the motor, its really easy to wire in an old car like your rola :(
