K40 And K50 Tail Shaft

hey all

 

going from an Auto to a manual

 

Is the tail shaft the same in th K40 and K50, cause i need one!

 

also, can u use the auto tailshaft if u change the Universal joint?

Dunno about auto and manuel tailshafts being the same, but I would assume they are.

 

I can however confirm that K40 and K50 tailshafts are the same. :abuse:

fiarly certain the auto and manual tailshafts have different yolks.

if your talking 2 speed toyoglide auto, I'm pretty sure the shafts are slighty different lengths, can't remember which was longer tho..

yeh its a 2 speed auto i'm taking out, so i guess if th lengths are different, which by th sounds of it they are, then i guess i'll be searching around for a K-40/50 tailshaft

Auto yoke is larger anyway, so yes you're better off finding a complete manual tailshaft.
