ke20rolla Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Looking great Ben, Keep the progress pics coming. Definately get the whole car done in primer before you paint it. Can't wait to see it. :jamie: Cheers, Mark. ;) Quote
Doogs Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Looking good, man I wish my front apron was as straight as yours ! :no2: Good on you for going over the whole car with primer etc. Quote

benpedder Posted August 25, 2008 Author Report Posted August 25, 2008 fiddling with colours in photoshop. Quote
Doogs Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 Good to see it all in primer. What colour are you thinking of at the moment ? Quote
benpedder Posted August 26, 2008 Author Report Posted August 26, 2008 well its probably going to stay blue but i am REALLLY liking the white :no2: Quote
ke20rolla Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Hi Ben, just take into account that if you decide to paint it another colour, you'll have to paint the engine bay and along the inside of the doors etc. so that it matches. I reckon that white or blue would suit it down to a tee. Have you decided to do it in 2pack or acrylic paint????? anyway can't wait to see it, keep on rolling along Cheers, Mark. :) :no2: Quote
benpedder Posted August 26, 2008 Author Report Posted August 26, 2008 yeah i realise i would have to paint interior and engine bay thats the only thing stopping me from doing it white  next paint job it gets shal be white though and i have no idea, what is the difference in the paints.. i just want it shiny :no2: Quote
Murd 55 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 2pack is a much better quality job to my understanding. backed up by the fact my grandpa did my uncles car several like 5+ years ago in a red with 2 pack. and we all know red fades insanely and it has been sitting in the country sun for all that time and the paint has not yet faded it still looks as good as it did when it was first done. benpedder Posted August 26, 2008 Author Report Posted August 26, 2008 ohhh I'm pretty sure dad said we wont be doing it in acrylic so must be that, that we are doing it in :no2: Quote
Doogs Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) 2 pack is good if you have the gear to use it safely. Most 2 pack paint (apart from some of the newer types) requires the use of a full body suit and breathing apparatus. I have heard of people painting 2 pack without the use of this gear but I don't think it is a great idea, seeing it is quite toxic. Edited August 26, 2008 by Rad Rolla Quote
benpedder Posted August 26, 2008 Author Report Posted August 26, 2008 oh.. :no2: well umm I'm not sure then  Quote
