I have a '71 ke20 with a 3kc and would like to replace that engine with a 3tc. I have a te72 donor for the swap. Would a te72 crossmember work on a ke20? If not what are all my options for corolla crossmembers swap. TIA...

since you got the te27 over there, that would be your first choice, since the XE2X had the same front ends.

if you can't get hold of one, you could just cut the mounts off the te72 cross member you have and put them onto the ke20 one you have.

The crossmembers are different enough that neather of those options will work.

Try to find a TE2X cross member. That's the direction I've taken. Mines on it's way from Japan as we speak. Don't forget that you will have to either mod your pedal box for hydraulics, or get a 2X pedal box as well. (I've got one on the container next to the x-member. :lolcry:)

When it arrives, can you post some pics up? I would like to see what the genuine version of a xe2x hydrualic set up looks like.
