August 13, 200818 yr comment_267964 Hey all. After my KE25 rego ran out, i registered a celica to drive around. Got sick of that fairly quick, so i was searching again. Saw an ae82 twinky for sale (In Town, So much more appealing) so i just had to have a look. Went and had a look, and a drive. Was very happy with it, after a quick rust check and general look over decided to buy it. He was asking 1600, but i just asked what would he be willing to take. So i ended up paying $1000. Original good condition, hasnt been Molested for wheels, stereo etc. Interior is still in nice condition. White Paint (had a 50% chance of getting this colour anyway ;)) Will get some pics of it tomorrow. Might even whack it up on the hoist if i get a chance. August 15, 200818 yr comment_268285 Looks like you got an alright deal for 1K. any plans for it? what are you planning for the 25? Report
August 15, 200818 yr Author comment_268298 Yeah not a bad deal at all. Just a daily driver. Want to change the wheels as the stocko ones are hidious IMO. Just something cheap but presentable. This will be my daily when the 25 is finished aswell. So i don't have to worry as much about having to leave the 25 anywhere unsafe. The 25 is going to be getting a strip down rebuild starting in the next few months hopefully. Report

October 7, 200818 yr Author comment_279722 Are you referring to the 4x4? If so its a daihatsu. So not sure if its what your after. Report
October 14, 200818 yr Author comment_281447 Got it home last night and pulled the sump off. Having a look at the bearings and got through them all and found out it was #4 bigend bearing that went. There was enough room beween the conrod and the bearing itself for us to move the piston up and down about 3mm or so in total. Report
