hey guys I'm having alot of trouble with diffs in my ke55 i have a major whind :blush: when I'm sitting at around 40-60 kmhs and on the gas i don't know generally how bad it is after that as I'm alittle worried if i give it alittle more gas it might blow on me :bash:

so any information on how i may fix the problem or even a second hand one if anyone has one lying around or even an alternative diff which will fit from another make or model

sorry nearly forgot to mention that I'm located in sydney

any information would be a great help

as i miss driving my rolla :lol:

where in sydney are u located someone closer by might be able to help out.

 

first as mentioned check the diff oil might have a leak\

 

if its a whine id be going for wheel bearing, pretty simple job if you have access to a press.

I'm from the brighton le sands mascot area sorry should have mentioned that :sob:

and there is a loss of oil iv just figured out but i have topped it up a few times

and it still whines even tryed the bannana peel trick no luck

Yep, replace both axle bearings, diff bearings too if you're keen. All should cost $60-70. Maybe also take the opportunity to replace the rear brake cylinders and shoes and you've pretty much re-built that back end for under $150. :jamie:
