I have a 2tgeu set up in my ke20. The engine does not seem to have much power, does anyone have experience with the 2tg. How much better does a 4age go?

Yes I have experience with 2TG's.

 

Have you had it on a dyno? How fresh is it? New plugs? Decent spark? Timing? Carbies in good nick or are you running efi?

 

I have a carbed 2TG and I'd back it against a 4AG on most days.

what redwarf said - check the engine.

also diff gearing can have a big influence.

It a fresh import engine from SSS, seems good, Its running standard efi with the air flow meter, which has a really small inlet, whats up with that. I'm thinking of taking off the efi and putting carbs on it..

Get it dyno'd. I don't know what adjustments (if any) are available. If you're still not happy:

 

Lose the EFI, put twins on it, and don't forget that it'll have to be dyno'd again.

ebay - gem parts or toymods or the celica spares shop can't remember its name though.

or keep the efi, bolt a 3tg turbo manifold on it and go forced induction.

i had a simialr setup in mine with a dead stock engine, EMS computer, small subaru turbo, 8psi and it made 123hp/ 92kw at the wheels.

weigh up your options first.

 

it all comes down to how deep your pockets are.

I know one of my Weber'd 2TG's put down 117hp ATW on a reputable dyno.

lol, dwarfs atmo nearly made the power than the turbo 2TG, shows what a little knowledge can do, even when modifying a near extinct dinosaur :sob:
