Okey dokey for all you experts....

i would like some advice on turboing my 20v.

what would be a good compression ratio to aim for and how to achieve.

there is a guy in the states though with a rotex charger running stock internals. but has ported the exhaust side

and is running 15psi and has been for 9months.

i reckon that asking for trouble with such a high comression ratio.

i want a decent power gain in the region of 150-160kw atw.

but i don't want to lose off boost driveability.

cheers, Luc

8.9:1 pistons out of the later model 4AGZE

Bluetop and red-black top 9.4:1 has been successfully done aswell.

with a really good tune, i have also seen a silvertop with stock internals run a TD05 successfully

...except GZE pistons are for a 4 valve head, not a 5 valve one.

sooo perhaps just run a turbs and don't change anything.

if the internals are that strong then it should be reliable.

i guess the tune is the most important

just need to keep it away from detonation.

anyone else got experience?

i'm not sure if the quad throttle bodies, lighter rods and extra inlet valve will make much of a difference once you go forced induction, could be wrong.

most of the high powered 4AGTE motors are 16v.

doesnt matter, has been done heaps of times, the engine just becomes an interference engine

gah! you beat me...

Will only become a problem when you snap your cam belt :fuzz:

don't mistake that for most common base. can't remember where if ound it but technologically (lol sp) both the silvertop and blacktop head are better in areas of efficiency etc.

Ill try find it..

...but if your going to go through the hassle of changing pistons, why the hell would you put in GZE pistons into a 20V? Surely there's a better option than that...
