Can you actually buy whitewall tires from factory at all? (ie from bridgstone or whoever>)

I only ask this because my girlfriend has a Datsun 1600 and in the manual it lists 'whitewall tyres' as an optional extra.

I think you may still be able to buy them brand new. You would just need to track down who makes them still as I assume most people have stopped making them by now.

 

My mate bought brand new whitewall tires for his Holden Premier.

Yeah they still make white/red wall tyres, but not for 12 inch wheels lol.

 

My dad has red wall tyres on his XY GT replica.

kumho still make whitewalls in various sizes, but doubtfully for a 12..

Coker in the US make them, but they're aiming more at the rodders, so big ass wheels etc.

GT radials still make some, very small selection in sizing though, can't remember what the options were, think it may have been a 15 or nothing lol
