cool thanks, and what is the general consensus on the 7k vs the 5k what is a better motor/ will go quicker

 

 

less revs more torque.

 

if you want a mad rev engine get 5k and put a 3k crank into it and put mad cams in.

 

if you want a daily driver put a t18 3.77 diff into your ke70 and a 7k.

i want something that is a good daily but wont mind copping a bit of crap, i do like revvy motors, i mean i have a motorbike with a 18500 rev limit and i used to have an rb20det, but I'm not overly fussed,i just something with a bit of balls, i have a budget of roughly 2 grand to buy and build the motor. the reason i have changed my mind about the 4age conversion is that its a bigger job that i first thought if i want to do i well, so I'm happy enough with a fun k motor

hi guys seams every one is talking on this page my alternator adjusting bracket broke a while bake ive welded it up but seams the bracket is shorter than before making the belt lose was wondering if :D anyone out there had a bracket for a 3k :cool:

yeah i have sourced most of engine/drivetrain parts but that is going to cos me like 2200, and i would still need to get someone to wire it, i would need to convert the fuel tank to efi and yeah lots of labour(i would do it myself), and I'm not sure if it is really worth it when i could buy a cheap silvia or something to slide. so yeah I'm thinking i just want to paint the rolla and make it pretty and build a cool little k motor and have is for a overrated little street car,but if the conversion isnt as hard as i am thinking or there is some better reasoning i would love to hear it. so a worked 5k or a worked 7k what would be more enjoyable?

its worth it

wiring isnt that hard

guys do it for like $200~

 

you don't need to convert the tank to efi

you just need to run a VL external fuel pump

run some fuel line

not hard.

 

pedal box is hardest

but so worth it

 

4age is better and faster in stock form than any k motor.

 

 

edit: also way better starting base for modification.

plus once the x member and pedal box is in

you can go GZE or GTE and make a comfortable 175 at the wheels

yeah but its the initial cost that is putting me off considering that i don't really want that much from the car, I'm thinking if i went anything efi i would be somthing with balls, like a sr or 1uz
