LittleRedSpirit Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 I assume your now looking for the little chrome f@$kers. Id suggest the bigger ae71 style mirrors for 2 main reasons. 1. Still Available, and the rare left hand side ones are available new from www.ozeparts.com.au. 2. Better Visibility thanks to a bigger area and you get a wide view cause they are quite long. Chrome ones look cool tho. Quote
K. Sev Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 well its all over now, drilled holes in the passenger's door... and fitted two sweet looking mkI corona chrome mirrors to the old ksev. they look good against the super out there pastel paint work and only cost me $12 from u-pull-it score, i guess. guard mounted mirrors would still have looked cool tho... cheers for the replies again, ill have to set up a rides thread and show people Quote
adam-__- Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I know this is a little late now, but for those who are still interested in seeing how bad guard mounted mirrors perform, I've taken some pics. These were all in the drivers seating and viewing position. Right mirror Left mirror with blind spot Middle, inside mirror for reference And what things look like when it's mounted on the door, where it's supposed to be. I hope these give people a better idea of how bad guard mirrors are. haha. This was in clear weather, imagine in rain when there's all droplets of water on the mirror and the rear window fogged up. :y: Quote
