Hey I'm wanna put a 22RE into my KE70, just wondering if anyone has done it before and if so any advice would be appreciated

can i ask why yeah its a bigger motor but there not really built to rev like a 4a. it would be cool but i think it would drive to much like a ute.

i was originally thinking of putting one into my ke25 but soon scrapped that idea. due to the fact i would prolly never get it engineered. or get the conversion done + lack of $$$ and you get the idea.

 

I had a pic of one that was in a ke2x with a snail hanging off the side. so i guess that they can be made to make some decent power. plenty of torque :|

why not a 3rz 2.7L much better motor than 22R, and they make big hp

ive got a 22re here sitting in my garage full stripped out of a corona with complete wiring and gear box and everything read to run waiting to go into my ke70 should be good funn

yeah i got a corona wagon for 50 bucks, I already have the engine and box out, just cleaning it up a bit and putting a new heavy cuty clutch in. So far its only cost $155, and I'm an apprentice mechanical engineer so the rest shouldnt be too much of a prob

yeah i got my corona for free from tafe

my mates corona (which that pic i posted previously) without the hilux motor in it used 2 drift/skid 3rd gear in the dry after kicking the shit out of the clutch :y: now i'd be scared to see how it would go aye

got any specs on this turbo corona madness mr ae71??
